At the same time, it is a prosperous country, and all public transport is free. You just hop on and hop off - no hassle of looking for and buying tickets. It’s a quiet country with lots to explore especially if you like nature. Yes it’s true that public transportation is free nation wide and this really helps when waiting to visit. Most of the landmarks are free, some museums are free and most of the things to visit are in walking distance from each other. While Luxembourg City is small, it is lovely and we could have spent at least another day or two. The country, while also small, is incredibly beautiful! We had a care, but all public transportation is free to everyone, which is a really nice touch. The hotel is right at the main transport (and public transport is FREE in Luxemburg) hub in the country. In spite of this my room was very quiet. I was warned about building works next door, but I noticed nothing of that. Free bus (No 29) from and to the airport outside the railway station. Free tram into the city centre.
