2rangi Beach Homestay at Mirimiri Spa, hotel in Avarua

2rangi Beach Homestay at Mirimiri Spa provides beachfront accommodations in Titikaveka. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.

Location good but a fairly long walk to the beach which suited me fine. Much further into town. Take local bus or scooter or car. However use of a bicycle which was a great bonus and was shared with other occupants. Sam and Donna were amazing giving rides, use of kitchen, generous and kind and super interesting person and family background. We had great conversations. I was fascinated by his family history, what he has done and accomplished and the tracing back of his royal Polynesian Maori heritage. Overall, a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and good value! Thank you Sam for being a great host!

Central Motel is located in the Avarua district in Rarotonga, 4.3 mi from Muri. Guests enjoy an onsite spa pool and a 24/7 front desk. All rooms feature a TV and a private bathroom with a shower.

The location was good as it was close to the airport. I flew in late and left for the airport again early. Room was left open for me late and Roselle checked in with me in the morning. I can’t comment much on the room because i just slept there and I didn’t even shower there. I will say the bed was good and the AC was good.

Avarua is pretty small with a Mall and few shops, supermarket, pharmacy, hardware stores etc. lots of take away and restaurant and a bit of night life, quiet, little traffic, nice people. Prices for clothing and souvenirs are high, I did not buy anything... The Saturday market is quite big with produce, clothing, etc. In Rarotonga on Sunday everything is closed (you cannot buy alcohol) although you can get take away and there are minimarkets open 24 hours ! Also hotels restaurants are open. It is cheaper to eat out compare to buy food and cook in. Food is good, wine prices acceptable. Not a big selection of food thou depending on the ships who bring the food in. It is a small island you must remember.

We had a beautiful stay at nevaehs holiday home. The house was perfect for us, Desmond was also a good host! Looked out for us and made sure our stay was perfect, very close to town and the perfect place for a big crowd. But we enjoyed our stay and thank Desmond for also letting us use the car throughout our entire stay. We will definitely come again.

Avarua has great markets that are very busy on Saturday mornings with a nice vibe. A few good restaurants there. Trader Jacks is always good. We quite enjoyed 'The Islander' for the view, meals and drinks as well. It is quite underwhelming from the road. The Rarotongan Brewery is also a good stop in Avarua. You just need to be aware that Saturday from the afternoon until Monday morning, not much is open in Avarua.
