Amazing castle constructed out of rocky limestone outcrops as well as massive stone blocks set in acres of beautiful woodland. Should definitely be visited on a sunny day. Castle is actually in the village of Podzamskie (translates to Under the Castle) which boasts of an amazing local restaurant, Stodola and a small convenience store in addition to quantities of fast food outlets and souvenir, shops.

In the village down at the bottom of the castle, there is a GREAT restaurant "STODOŁA" which we highly recommend ! Also the young ladies working at the cash register at Ogrodzeniec ("Zamek sp zoo") were very friendly, helpful and highly qualified. I wish the receptionists of the too expensive and overrated "Poziom 511 hotel" 300m further would have been half as good .... :-(LorenzPoland

We checked in and went for a walk around the side of the property through a small forest and came upon the fortress. We toured the fortress and returned to our hotel for dinner. Dinner was very good as well as the breakfast the next morning. I forgot my watch on the night stand, contacted the hotel and they mailed it to me back home. I received it yesterday.
