Gros Morne was the reason we came.

Gros Morne was the reason we came. We did the Bon Tours Western Brook tour and were disappointed in the level of knowledge by one of the tour boat guides. We mentioned. This to the Gros Morne information center since they should be aware. We loved the Bon Tours Anchors Aweigh show. What a great night!

Air conditioning was just being installed and even though there was a fan it was still hot. No elevator, 2 flights of stairs to haul your luggage. Clean room, lovely beds with balcony, I would recommend this location. JD...Ontario

Pretty town with a great Handmade gift shop, good restaurants, Earles and Java Jack's were 2 we got to experience. Great evening activity at the Oceanview Hotel, the Anchors Aweigh show booked through Bon Tours and the Kitchen Party booked at the Anchor Pub in the Oceanview. Great access to Gros Morne attractions such as the Western Brook Pond Tour.

Rocky Harbour is in the western center of Gros Morne.

Rocky Harbour is in the western center of Gros Morne. It is convenient for Western Brook Pond, Cow's Head, Berry Hill Pond, Berry Head Pont and Burnt Hill Trail. We enjoyed Earl's Restaurant with Moose Stew, Moose Burger and Moose Pizza. Out East Adventure Hostel was a nice place to stay for the evening.

The Treasure box restaurant was very affordable and had some local treats and foods that were great. The beaches were easy to get to and comb. The National Park is spectacular. There are very few grocery options so if you are driving from St. John's or Deer Lake, you would be better to pick up most of your supplies before heading into the park. Keep in mind that the restaurants are not open late or for too many hours. We participated in an UNDER THE STUMP ATV tour. This is the only company that offers accessible tours for every ability. We were able to access the park and learn about the local flora and fauna from the indigenous guide, Trina Reid. We also enjoyed a local treat, a small kitchen party, made our own ugly sticks and got screeched in. We would highly recommend UNDER THE STUMP for families with smaller children, anyone with limited mobility or who is not interested or capable of taking on an 8hour hike. We were picked up at the Irving station, less than 500m from the hostel.

The chalet was well equipped for eating.

The chalet was well equipped for eating. The layout was nice. It was solidly built and we felt safe their during the high winds of the hurricane. The representative came by and asked if we required anything. The recommendations would be to have folding luggage holders in the bedrooms, a mirror and more hooks for hanging clothing and towels.

Between this location and another on the North coast, we surely lucked out. This was a home away from home. We did cook most of our meals, so either bring food in from deer lake or you can go to the convenience store on main st where they had m and m as well as other frozen chicken and meat for a somewhat reasonable cost. Be sure to do Norris point and swim in rocky harbour pond just down the road. The owners were so friendly and make sure to come and introduce themselves. Thank you for welcoming our family for 3 nights!

These cabins are GORGEOUS, inside and out. They have a fantastic and spacious layout on the inside. Check in/out was a breeze and the owners were a phonecall away if we needed anything. We were a few minutes drive into the main Street of Rocky Harbor so getting groceries and dinner was easy. After a week of hotel rooms it was a real treat to have a space to actually relax in with a glass of wine. Can't recommend these chalets enough.

Oliver’s Landing was a beautiful, well stocked cottage with everything we needed for our too short stay in Rocky Harbour NFLD. Owners Keith and Nancy provided all the comforts and were incredibly hospitable hosts. The cottage was convenient to all tourist attractions including the boat tour of the fjords and kayaking. We enjoyed being able to sit out around the fire pit on a beautiful Newfoundland night as well. Highly recommend!

The location is great because it is well within the park boundaries and you can easily drive to most points of interest within about 45 min. We stayed in a newer part of the hotel called the Sundowner rooms which still looked brand new and our double queen room was very spacious. Directly across the street from our room there is a liquor/convenience store. Perhaps a little too convenient.

This place was perfect in every way. Really enjoyed our stay and my wife and I said that we could actually live in this chalet. Beautifully designed interior with quality kitchenette and dining/living room area. Very quiet location with great views of the ocean and Rocky Harbour. We highly recommend this place for anyone exploring Gros Morne and surrounding area.

Great location for easy access to Rocky Harbour attractions as well as Hwy 430, the Viking Trail and Gros Morne. Nice layout, good size washroom with tub/shower combination. Liked that bedrooms were separated to give personal space. Kitchen well stocked with dishware, etc but a small cutting board would be a great addition.
