Very clean room, comfortable bed, but the AC/heat unit, even when turned off had a high-pitch constant whine which didn't allow me to sleep much! I tried adjusting the wall thermostat, turning the unit off, etc., even looked for a way to unplug the unit to get it to shut up! Unacceptable!

    Norfolk is a lovely city.

Norfolk is a lovely city. I enjoyed the scenery because I live in the country where there are only trees. I do not care for the fast-paced traffic, but it wasn't enough to keep me from visiting another time. Norfolk literally has everything, I feel it is a great place to try new things, and I am planning for a romantic getaway for my husband and me. It is a bit expensive, but I do fell it was worth the expenses. This was my first time back since 2019 and it will not be my last.

The location was close to the airport.

The location was close to the airport. Boss Queen Soul Cafe was nearby. EXCELLENT 😎 Shrimp, Catfish, Crab Cakes, Mixed Drinks. AWESOME. BEST CRAB CAKES THAT I EVER HAD. I wish that I had another couple of days to stay in Norfolk. I would go to Boss Queen Soul Cafe twice a day. I put some Crab Cakes in a ziplock bag in my checked luggage 💼. As soon as I returned to Nashville, I unpacked those Crab Cakes, put some in the microwave, tore them up.

Norfolk was a great city - not too big.

Norfolk was a great city - not too big. There were restaurants everywhere and we tried several of them. It was easy to navigate in Norfolk - we found the Walmart near us as well as a drug store. We went to the wine festival and found a parking lot with no problem. It was great!

We stayed at the Hilton on main and upon checking in.

We stayed at the Hilton on main and upon checking in. The staff informed us that we could leave our car parked there while we go on our cruise and it would only cost us $12 . When we returned from our cruise we couldn't get out of the garage we called and after waiting around 30 minutes they came out and charged us $90 some dollars. After we paid we still had to wait 5 min more for them to open the gate. There were 3 cars behind us that told us that they were told the same thing( that it would only cost$12 one time fee to leave their cars) I called and talked to the front desk manager and she was very rude. She said that it's the state's parking garage that she can't do anything about it. THE FRONT DESK STAFF LIE To the guest and evidently are allowed to.

Loved the Norfolk area in general. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the extremely crowdedVirgina Beach. Definitely worth the visit to the USS Missouri and Naticus Museum. Mission Barbecue is AMAZING! The hotel is a joke.

Michael at the front desk was great. Honestly he saved our night and ended what was a disaster at another hotel. It was late with 3 kids and our room at other location was nasty. Our youngest daughter (7) even commented how friendly he was. A great person to have on your staff. We saw him the next morning and still was just as pleasant.

Front desk ladies and breakfast crew were very friendly. Hotel and Room was clean and had no funky smells. Clean sheets smelled nice and fresh. Comfy pillows, the bed was more firm that I would like, but it was ok. Not a poofy pillow top or anything. Breakfast was good...they even had biscuits and gravy. Shower had nice, hot water.
