Quite seaside town. That has many restaurants and cafes.
Quite seaside town. That has many restaurants and cafes. Also plenty of options for accommodation. Plenty of things to do like swimming, kite surfing and sailboarding. And the white sand dunes are worth visiting for the early morning sunrise, plus a ride on quad bike.

Mui Ne is a quiet place, perfect for the one looking for nature and sea in their original state. Phan Tiet is the kingdom of dragon fruits, there are now many new kinds, yellow, red pulp inside - GMos? There are many new resorts coming up, in Phan Tiet and near by Mui Ne, but there are many things to do to rise the level of the place.

We were close to the very popular foodcourt.
We were close to the very popular foodcourt. The local catholic church could get very busy at times. Local food options were good too. Sunset seafront bars were good but the beach wasn't great here. Nearest ATM was a good 1 km away. Local buses back into Phan Thiet took at least half an hour. You wiil need to take a taxinor Grab from Binh Thuan to connect to the North South railway.

It was a great place when the beaches were still usable.
It was a great place when the beaches were still usable. Now most of the coastline is gone, as are the resorts that still have beach charges or don't allow non-guests to access them. It never really recovered post-covid, which is sad because it has always been a great place to travel, not too far from HCMC.

Great little stop if you are looking to relax from the hustle and bustle of a big trip through Vietnam.
We actually had most of our meals at the Resort restaurant as it was on the beach and the lights and the beach setting at night was amazing.
Food was good, nice mix of Vietnamese and Western.

Knowing it since it was just a fisher village, Mui Ne has developed over the past two decades. Nevertheless you can see the pain Covid has endured on this place, with many restaurants and bars that closed down, empty shops and dirty areas on the streets.
It is definitely a nice weekend getaway out of HCMC, however I am not sure whether it is worth it to stay there for a very long time, as currently the choices are relatively limited. Joes Cafe, Nirvana and Dragon Beach are still operating, but are just ghosts of their former glory. From all the bars available, Joes Cafe is till date one that is nice to visit, with good shisha, reasonable prices for drinks and food. Nevertheless, the live bands are also not what they used to be, but better than nothing.
What is great to know is that the new highway reduce your traveling time to Mui Ne, however i not recommend to drive back on Sundays, as the traffic jams are horrible and your traveling time goes up to 4 hrs + if you are extremely unlucky.
Kitesurfing paradise has it has been claimed by many, i cannot agree with it, as it is good for advanced riders, beginners in my point of view will have an issue due to the strong current.
Nevertheless, its a better option than Ho Tram and also the cheaper option.
We loved everything about May Bungalow. The owner May is the nicest person ever and helped us to organise a great tour to the sand dunes, and even helped with our onward buses which we had booked online. The hotel is so beautifully decorated, and is kept very clean and neat. Our room had everything we could want, and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was also great with a good variety of different food to choose from, and fresh smoothies and juices. One of our favourite places we have stayed in Vietnam!
nice and big resort with two big pools - best about the hotel is the staff! when we came back from a tour in the morning we were allowed to have breakfast way after breakfast time and when we left Mui ne one staff member noticed us sitting in the lobby a little helpless and helped us arrange our bus transfer and really went out of her way to communicate with the bus company and get everything in line for us - she was genuinely great and the kindest and most helpful person we’ve met in Vietnam. thank you very much!
A very pleasant place. Simple but spacious and clean rooms. Responsive hosts. I had a problem with my laptop charger, it didn't fit Vietnamese standards. The owners did everything to find the adapter late in the evening, and the next day they went and bought an adapter for me so that I would not have such problems again. The location is not in the busiest area, but I liked it. Cafes, shops were within walking distance, and at the same time it was quiet. For the price, this is a great option.
The room was very large and clean, and cleaners came to freshen up the room and bring new towels after one night. There is also a reasonably priced laundry service, food and drink service and free water bottle top ups at reception. The staff were very polite and spoke good English which was very appreciated. The location is really good, nextdoor to a bar and diner with many different food stalls, close to the beach and the fairy stream, and a 35 minute drive from the white sand dunes.
We had some relaxing days at Mihn Kha Hotel. The room and the bathroom has a good space, the bed is comfortable and the upstairs options has an amazing balcony. There’s a restaurant with a lot food options and the beer is so cheap :) The location is super convenient, with a restaurants and mini markets around the hotel and just some minutes walking to the beach. And the staff is so kind! We love to stay there!
Everything was perfect. The housekeepers were on top of everything. Never saw them or spoke to them but everything was cleaned and done early. Restaurant staff took care of all needs and questions. Food was great. Eat every meal there but one and wish we had that one there as well. Second time there this year we stayed there and will go back on our next trip to Vietnam.
Every single part of our trip was fantastic! From now on we will only stay at Hoang Ngoc Resort when we come to Mui Ne. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was fantastic (my waistline agrees) and the pool/beach lounging area was wonderful. My husband especially loved the gardens and fish ponds. 10/10 for sure!
The hotel has a nice location, close to restaurants, food stores, and coffee shops. Walking from the hotel to the beach takes around 5 minutes. Furthermore, the hotel is well-equipped with amenities such as a swimming pool, billiards tables, and exercise facilities. The most appealing aspect for me is cleanliness.
A lovely spacious resort, very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were quick and smooth.
The rooms was very large and comfortable.
Breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee is good!
Swimming pools are great and the beach area was clean
oldish but quite well maintained Hotel with facilities. huge pool area with relaxing chairs. Rich breakfast buffet with enormous range varieties. price was just 900k VND per room…Good value. Courteous staff which is quite outstanding for Vietnam
accommodation excellent, photos don’t do it justice. Also got my washing done really cheaply and well at the hotel. Friendly family run. Beach v quiet, clean and safe. Room was right on the beach front, no road in between.
It was v peaceful
I have been to many hostels in Europe, few in US, few in Cambodia but this hotel by location, prices, friendlynes of the staff who is hard working and dedicated to their job is the best one.
It's a beautiful resort, built in coherence with nature, vast villas with beautiful gardens, jacuzzi, an amazing pool, private beach and really happy, helpful staff. And great value too!
