Beautiful traditional Japanese house in a small town in the middle of the mountains. Every house item is crazy cool and beautiful. The owner has thousands of good records and will do a selection for you. Bed are comfortable. The level of attention to every single detail - from lighting to coffee or snacks - is beyond everything I have experienced. My only regret is not to have stayed longer to chat a bit more with Takashi - the music passionate who has the house and the amazing little cafe next door - to get to know him better. For sure a super interesting and lovely host!

Set in Takayama, 1.4 km from Takayama Station and 800 metres from the centre, 民宿 和屋 offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. This cozy unit is located relatively close to shops and also the morning market. Ruili the owner was really nice and welcoming, he even offered us a lift to and fro the train station seeing as I had a toddler and my father in law had trouble walking. Ruili even invited us over to his home for tea which was really nice, thank you for your hospitality Ruili :)

Located in Nagoya, 4.4 km from Oasis 21 and 5.1 km from Nagoya Castle, Ixyz別邸 月夜見の宿 offers air conditioning. Beautiful, spacious, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. One of the most equipped and clean apartment I have stayed in. WiFi was good too. Both toilets are downstairs so maybe difficult for elderly but we had kids and they loved running up and down.

Situated 1 km from Takayama Station and 2.7 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village in the centre of Takayama, 飛騨高山浮世絵INN画侖 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The location was great with parking spot available a short walk away 5 minutes). Our host made it easy to pull up and drop your bags first, then park car and return for a brief walk through of the home.

There's not a single thing we didn't like about this place - it's so nice, big, well equipped with everything... Honestly, this was one of the best places we've stayed at during our Japan trip. It's easy to find, the host met us, showed us to place to park our car, explained everything and even recommended a really great restaurant to go to. Honestly, this is how it should be done.

Spacious house with everything you could need close to the old part of town. We walked from the train station and everywhere we went. Enjoyed the photos of local sites and local craft items in the house especially after being out in the town and seeing that they reflect the local area.

It was very beautiful, clean and spacious for our family of 5, nice towels with complimentary amenities, and entry into the place was easy to use. The home had everything we needed and more!
