I live outside Egypt. Every year I celebrate my son's birthday at the hotel, but there are daily weddings on the beach and the Wave Pool is closed, and my son does not enjoy it all day.this is inconvenience and wasting the value of the payments

FAQs about hotels in Cairo

Resting Place of Pharaohs

Born of an ancient civilization, Cairo is a vast metropolis centered around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.

The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including finds from Tutankhamen's tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.

East is Islamic Cairo, home to the 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk (remember to haggle). The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.

If you need a break from cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.

Before heading to your Cairo accommodations, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

I can say that New Cairo is more civilized and cleaner.

I can say that New Cairo is more civilized and cleaner. In the Giza area, there are too many beggars, and the smell and garbage around are quite noticeable. There are no traffic lights. However, in New Cairo, some things are more organized. That said, such conditions can be expected in historical places. Hopefully, the pyramids area will become more touristic and be renewed in the near future.

Cairo is a cheap city that Uber taxi is recommended.

Cairo is a cheap city that Uber taxi is recommended. Tour can be booked through Viator. Our experience is good. Prepare exact fare for underground as the staff tends to give you less for change. 8 EGP for less than 9 stations.

Cairo has a serious love/hate for me.

Cairo has a serious love/hate for me. It has some of the world's must-see historic attractions, but man there is always someone trying to scam you, take advantage of you, pressure you into "tipping them." Luxor has a lot to see and has some of that same annoying, scammy, aggressive sales culture, but in comparison, I would say Luxor is a way better city to visit for longer. Cairo 2 days, 3 days tops, is all you really need...do a full day trip for the local views/sphinx/pyramids, another day for the museum, and get out of there. Egypt is much more than just Cairo, if you have time visit Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel (I took a private transfer from city to city as I like my freedom to do and go where I want when I want, but many choose to do a Nile cruise to visit all these cities)

I enjoyed my stay in Cairo. It was pleasant. However, the best time to visit Cairo is the winter time ( OCT-JAN) as it was was very hot.Remember to drink plenty of water. Its a good practice to pay tips in small but frequent amount not exceeding 50 Egyptian pounds.

Great hotel close to the airport, practical if you are passing through Cairo, otherwise you will need like 45 minutes to the city centre with a Taxi. Uber works here too and the ride is around 200 LE (4-5 dollars or euros). They have relatively good coffee, rare in Egyptian hotels even with 5 stars. The pool area is nice. The hotel has two nice restaurants and several well equipped bars.

Sara is an amazing and welcoming host. She is a thoughtful and caring host who ensured we had a best time in Cairo during our stay. She even went an extra mile to pick my partner from the airport at 3 am. We had a room with pyramids view and the sunset truly was a cherry on the cake. The highlight of the hotel was the breakfast which was tailor made egyptian style!

This is our best hotel in Egypt, everything is new and clean and the service is extraordinary. The manager makes you feel like family from the very first moment. The view from the terrace is magical and it's a 1min walk to the entrance of the pyramids. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Airport transfer at a very reasonable price.
