Luxor is beautiful and crossing the Nile with the local...

Luxor is beautiful and crossing the Nile with the local ferry is very romantic. We mostly used the horse-carriage for transport on the East bank, which was cheap (30-50 EGP) and pleasant. The Valley of Kings was indeed interesting to visit, however is a bit overpriced and you can only enter 3 tombs with the general ticket. Compared to our other experiences in Egypt (Cairo, Dahab) Luxor was the most intrusive in terms of people wanting to sell their services for tourists or beggers. It can be tiring after a while, when every step on your way new and new people come to you with some question or offer. The Karnak temple was grandiose, however it might not be worth to buy a ticket for the Luxor temple as well, which you can just watch from outside of the fence.

The management is excellent, Ashaf is always willing to help and reply very fast. He help us to coordinate tours and Fellucas to cross to the other side. The apartment has good space, wifi was the best we had in Egypt, the beds and pillows were comfortables and we had a big fridge. In the corner there is a mini market and a pharmacy is just 100 mts away. Easy to cross to Luxor temple by Felluca and 15 min to Valley of the kings. Breakfast was traditional egyptian, spreadable cheese, fried eggs, tomato, cucumber and dates.

It is a very cozy and clean place to stay at ✨ The staff are incredible, very friendly and generous management and hospitality 🙏 The rooftop is cool to chill with friends and make new friends if you are traveling solo Unbeatable rate, the room has an AC, and even a small fridge and they provide a light Egyptian breakfast.. Not super near the touristy area so, you can easily walk to shops, restaurants and markets with the local prices.. I highly recommend while in Luxor east bank. Thank you Happy Land :)

Everything about the places gives awesome! The staff was exceptionally attentive. Organized a great driver for us to visit all the sights for a very good price and the location was just 2 minutes walking to luxor temple. The hotel partners with a tour company so you literally do not need to book tours before hand you just to show up. The restaurant on the rooftop was fantastic. The service was phenomenal and the food was out of this world. The best food I had in Egypt was at that restaurant!

The staff were very welcoming and reactive and helped me with many things. the driver for the Hotel Hassan really made my trip great, he helped me find guides gave me recommendations to local places to eat and made me feel welcome in Egypt, I would really recommend the hotel showcase his services because honestly there not a lot of tourism operators in Luxor unless you come on a tour so to meet someone to assist with finding great guides and facilitating transport and giving advice was.

This is a fabulous place to stay in an excellent location. It has a lovely garden and the terrace is beautiful. The staff are so helpful and Sherif is very knowledgeable about the area and can build an itinerary to fit your time. The staff organised everything so we could see all the things we wanted to in our too short visit. The food is also excellent the best I've had in Egypt. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. If I go back to Luxor I will definitely stay here again.

This is a perfect way to spend holidays in Egypt. You can see many remarkable sites: Abu Simbel, Edna, Luxor, ... without having to hop from hotel to hotel. And you can also relax on the upper deck, while taking in magnificent views. The Le Fayan boat is very nice, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. You can buy per-arranged excursions or plan your own through them or any other agency. We came with two teenage kids, and they both enjoyed it very much too.

I picked the hotel for its convenient location. I enjoyed it so much because of the owner and staff. Food was excellent and generous. Also the room and outside sitting areas were so peaceful. Room was traditional Egyptian. It is a small hotel but central to everything. I could see the colossus of memnon from my room. I stayed at five hotels on this trip. This was the lowest price. This was my favorite. I was very happy here.

Great breakfast buffet, beautiful view right on the Nile, comfortable soft beds, solid wifi, good drink menu at the bar, friendly staff. The best place I stayed in all of Egypt when I was there for 17 days in 5 different cities. The price was unbelievably low too, I thought I was dreaming, this is a 5 star resort at great prices. The staff was absolutely professional and great especially check in and the baggage guys.

We had a lovely stay at Cleopatra Hotel, unfortunately only for one night. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. A big thanks also to Mahmut for the nice Egyptian Breakfast on the wonderful rooftop terrace with a view on the Temple of Hatschepsut. Located at Westbank, it's a comparable calm location but a very good starting point for a visit to the valley of the kings etc. Definitely to recommend!

This boutique hotel is a wonderful gem on the west bank of Luxor. Its owner Sayed clearly takes great pride in taking care of his guests and in providing a tranquil oasis away from the busy city and sightseeing. We are vegetarians and the chef prepared the best meals of our entire trip in Egypt. All the staff take great pride in attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble.
