Wonderful hosts! Delightful, historic home in this gem of an old town where history abounds and close coastal scenery is just minutes away. We took a lovely drive to Cape George Point and back stopping at each park and historic marking. Lovely. This was after a plentiful and delicious breakfast at this quaint B&B. Highly recommend!

Some hotels that grade themselves 3 or 4 stars could learn from the attention to detail at this fabulous B&B. Huge room with very large ensuite bathroom with tub and separate shower. Very comfy bed. Tv and good wifi. Coffee making facilities in the room.
Breakfast was excellent. The wonderful hosts were friendly , warm and welcoming and clearly know what they are doing. I arrived as a customer and left as a friend.
Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
As we travel and book BnB's, we can never be sure how well it will go. With Sandstone BnB you can shelve your worries. It's going to go well, very well, very, very well! Dick and Bev run a world class operation. I can compare it to most 5-Star hotels, only better. That is,It's exceptionally quiet and and your hosts will be found to be delightful. And they will go out of their way to make sure your stay is unusually positive.
Honestly while New Glasgow May not be the most exciting stop in Nova Scotia - Riverside Inn is worth the pit stop. Absolute favorite Inn we stayed at - the room and bathroom were very lovely and modern, the bathrobes were a great addition. The backyard was absolutely stunning with a lovely hot tub and furniture and fire pit. The owner was incredibly lovely and kind. Parking was available too! Internet connection was great.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Like that it was close to everything . If you’d looking for a reasonable and clean place to lay your head for the night this is it . Assess to highway is right there . This is not a scenic hotel . Loved that breakfast was included and even with covid they made sure we had breakfast to go .
The B&B was the best we’ve stayed in Canada. Dick & Bev were super hosts. Their home was pristine and our room was fabulous. Our breakfast each morning was delicious. The surrounding with beautiful trees and flowers was so peaceful. Can’t wait to stay again.
The location of this hotel was very useful given that it was right off of the highway and there are a number of amenities right around the hotel. The staff was also very helpful and kind offering up lots of useful information about the ferry, road delays, etc.
Breakfast, host and property itself were absolutely exceptional. Bev and Dick were a pleasure to meet. The property is located across from a beautiful lake outside of New Glasgow. The experience was above and beyond what we expected.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit the family in New Glasgow. It's in a great location, close to stores and downtown. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Beds are very comfortable, the suites are very big.
We were traveling from Cape Breton back to the US, and stopped in New Glasgow for the night. Really appreciated that the Travelodge welcomed our goldendoodle. Lots of room, a nice kitchenette, and comfortable.

Breakfast was more than I expected for a Continental breakfast, some other hotels do not include eggs and pancakes with a breakfast. There was a lot to choose from.
Pleasant, comfortable and quiet place to stay the night in the New Glasgow area. Choice between motel or hotel-type rooms. It is very close to the Wellness Centre.
