The rooms were phenomenal—such unique architecture and finishings. It felt very luxurious at a reasonable price. The grounds are stunning with the pool and gardens. The common area was comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast was the best on our trip through the region. And the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They gave great recommendations and even worked to book us extra tastings. Fantastic stay.

It’s very special to wake up in the middle of the vines The ladies at reception were really nice, they gave us a tour of the winemaking facilities and gave us good advice for our stay.

The property was beautifully renovated. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, efficient and attentive. They offered a range of wines from budget friendly to premium at a fair price. The new heated swimming pool was lovely to relax in during a rainy day. The hotel is located right on the Gironde in the center of Pauillac, with a number of cafes, grocery stores and a few restaurants in walking distance. There’s free parking directly across the street. A great place to base yourself as you explore the Left Bank.

    The Chateau and grounds were gorgeous!

    The Chateau and grounds were gorgeous! Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful - arranged for a driver, bikes to borrow, dinner reservations, every need was anticipated. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and included eggs from their chickens and herbs from the garden. We stayed one night - wish we had stayed longer!

    Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and great recommendations for places to visit, dinner reservations and the like. Highly recommend this property, bonus of seeing the grape harvest from our room!

    The chateau is beautiful, immaculate and so welcoming. Gilles runs a beautiful hotel, the breakfast was fabulous, the pool is lovely and they were happy for us to bring our own wine and some cheese in so we could relax in the evenings. He also booked us a tour of the family’s local winery which was great. We had a standard double and the parents had a superior room. Our room was gorgeous, well appointed and had everything we needed but the superior room is totally worth the extra if you can stretch to it.

    Fantastic hotel and amazing service. They made us feel really at home and the grounds were beautiful. On the first night we were late arriving and they made up a nice dinner and some lovely wine to have in our room. This showed us the high level of service from the start. Very impressed

    Location, staff! Really nice little Château- cozy & friendly environment. Not luxury but we felt there better than in a 5 star hotel bc of the very nice atmosphere & tranquility. Very nice, old-style building and charming rooms! We definitely recommend!

    Exceptionally well located. Surrounded by the vineyards, Cos d'Estournel. One can be astonished with the small details and surprises around the hotel. We had our dinner at hotel restaurant, it was superb.
