Our room was superb. We were upgraded to room 10, the Honeymoon Suite, which was a lovely surprise and very nice, cosy, clean and big. King size bed, huge flatscreen TV, lovely sofa and ottoman. Fresh fruit. Packed with facilities. The bar has an outstanding range of beers, wines and spirits, set in a cosy atmosphere. Beer garden has undercover cosy bench seating with cushions. Dinner menu is extensive and delicious as was the full breakfast.
Special thanks to Claire who made us feel very welcome and attentive, greeted with a big smile 😊

Large rooms , swimming pool and spar good , some rooms that face the back can be noisy due to wedding venues, breakfast ok , busy on haydock race days , bar is always under staffed and can be long waites for drinks , especially when weddings on.

The hotel was very nice but I would reccomend going when there isnt any wedding party on. It was very busy and it seemed somewhat understaffed to help everybody with their issues.
The staff was pleasant. Although you could see they were extremely busy and under pressure.

The hotel is actually nearer Ashton in Makerfield than Haydock, however perfect for the racecourse and short drive off the M6, very easy to find. I wasn't visiting for sightseeing but visiting family for a celebration so am familiar with the local areas. J23 of the M6 offers convenient links to liverpool/manchester/chester etc. great base for visiting all the North West has to offer for those visiting for business and leisure purposes.

On arriving I found the staff warm and friendly, they were very informative of procedures, I'd made a special request upon booking which they were able to accommodate no problem. Our room was clean, with all the usual facilities, and the bathroom though small, was spotless and all in good working order.
The bed was abit firm for my personal taste, but that's my personal preference.
The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel stay, plenty of choice, excellent quality and very fresh, the restaurant staff were warm and welcoming, all in all a very positive experience.

I am on the autistic spectrum and when you have not travalled since covid your first solo trip for eurovision without anybody is going to be massive well it was and everyone was so kind - staff helped out I was overwhelmed with how kind they were.
when I came back early because I had overstretched myself they put it on in the bar I did not want to upset other guests in the hotel who wanted football but they were happy to another kin gesture which just addded to a beautiful experience
Despite a weird location (near an industrial place)- tad hard to find with Sat Nav the hotel is tucked away and is beautiful on the outside with nice scenery. You’re wowed when you see the hotel on the outside.
It has a very large interior space for dinning plus outside patio. Which is just lovely to sit and dine when the weather is warm. There is a pool, gym and jacuzzi which we used on our visit too.
Food menu for dinner is pretty large and they have a good selection of drinks.
We didn't stay at Ibis Styles, but were relocated to Mercure Haydock as Ibis was closed to holiday makers.
Mercure Haydock was fantastic. Friendly staff, great comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings and great location.
Hotel was busy with business people, but quiet during the night.
That will probably not be the case when a wedding is going on as the suites are right next door.
Based on our stay, the stay was excellent.
Excellent friendly staff, very helpful and sociable made us feel welcome.
We've stayed several times and will keep returning as we like it so much.
Tasty hot breakfast, food in general was fab seemed much improved from previous stays. Nothing was too much trouble for staff.
Very clean room. Relaxed atmosphere.
Great location for the races. Good on site parking.
Friendly staff. Good food in the restaurant and Thursday Quizzes for charity was fun.. Beds were comfy, some worn out areas in carpet and walls, but it is an older place. My traveking companion really liked the pool. I did not get a chance to use the pool or excellent-looking workout room.
I haven’t been to the hotel since it was the Thistle Haydock in the 1990s and a lot has changed in the hotel since then. The location of the hotel is good but now parking is extra and overseen by ParkingEye the staff were professional and courteous but the rooms are tired
The hotel was stylish, modern and clean. The public areas had plenty of comfy seating and a well stocked bar. The staff were very helpful, the room was bigger than I've had in other hotels. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of choice. Lots of free secure parking.
The hotel is perfectly distanced to haydock racecourse which is where we were going.it was excellent hotel.excellent price and staff could not do enough for you
Spacious rooms.
Clean and tidy.
Easy to locate.
The man in charge of breakfast in the dining room was exceptional. Very attentive and so lovely and friendly.
Manager on reception very polite and welcoming.
Nice bar area, comfortable and quiet room with coffee making machine. Short walk to Haydock racecourse.
