Breakfast was OK but had better. Bacon seemed to have been cooked rolled up, so some was too crispy other half under cooked, eggs over cooked like mine to be runny.

In general the staff were nice and especially the team at the bar/breakfast. The price paid matched the type of hotel and the type of room selected - reasonably good value for money. The room was clean and, in general, the hotel was clean and tidy.

Ripponden is a very special place to me, my Dad grew up here, some years ago. Now we no longer have Dad it's great to come 'home' for a bit and visit this most beautiful spot.
Dog friendly, got everything you need, food in the Lion is fabulous especially as they are very dog friendly.

Heating system wasn't by thermostat.
Heating system wasn't by thermostat. Bathroom wasn't very well-decorated. The room was quite noisy, No indication of wifi codes. Lovely location, probably a great location. But strangely no cereal or toast at breakfast?

Lovely little find.
Lovely little find. If you are from the city, this feels like a perfect little get away that still has everything local. Easy to get to and would certainly visit again. Lovely restaurant and little pizza place in the town.

I stayed in Ripponden for a wedding, just right for the stag. A convenience co-op for shopping. I didn't venture around too much but it looks a quirky little village with plenty of nice walks to go on.
Beautiful place, set right by the river. It was lovely and clean, had all the little extras which makes a huge difference such as Shampoo, cotton buds, hot chocolate. Hostess was wonderful, even found me a safety pin! Breakfast was fresh and delicious, sausages were fab. Bed was nice and comfy. Wouldn't change a thing, it felt like we were visiting old friends rather than a hotel.
lovely quaint property, spacious room with en-suite. great location with fabulous views. staff were incredibly friendly. we didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but the food looked fantastic. breakfast was freshly made to order and was delicious. a little gem
The hotel is beautiful & extremely comfortable but Trevor makes the stay memorable as he is funny warm & welcoming & had a great laugh with him - he really goes the extra Mile & all his little extra touches are amazing - I will definitely be back 😉😘👍🏽
The place was blissfully quiet day and night. Once the car was parked up there was an adequate bus service to Ripponden or Halifax with the bus stop 2mins walk away. All in a great place for what we needed. Many thanks
Absolute Gem of a place, would highly recommend, Trevor was the best host, his hospitality is out of this world, made our stay in Ripponden even more wonderful. Thank you 😊
Great location in the hills slightly above Ripponden but close enough to walk down to town. Close to a local Co Op, and many local and bars.etc Really nice host.
