True family farm with incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. They produce an excellent red wine. We stayed in the Villa, a separate unit with 2 bedrooms and fully stocked kitchen nestled between an orange and olive grove. Roberto, a son, speaks excellent English and is a first rate cook and Dominic the patriarch is very proud and generous with the produce of the farm. A very memorable stay.

Very beautiful small old town, both at the day and at the night time. The atmosphere of the town is as if you returned to several centuries ago. It is quiet, clean, interesting and deserves visiting without doubt! Magnificent views not only to the historical part of the town, but also to the mountains.
For me, everything was perfect at La Rupe. Clean, cozy and well equipped room with a stunning view to the mountains and the sea. Central location within the old city of Gerace with private parking place in the yard. Breakfast was served in the best bar of the city (Bar Tocco). For dinner, several good restaurants are reachable by foot in a few minutes. Very nice and helpful host who gave a lot of advices and a local travel guide. For me 10 out of 10.
This is a beautiful hotel, set in a former convent with soaring views across the Ionian coast and mountains. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean and smart. Breakfast was provided at a local cafe in the nearby square which became a favourite during our short stay for its incredible granitas. Breakfast did not disappoint - freshest brioche filled with pistachio cream - to round out a wonderful
experience in Gerace.
Everything was perfect, thanks to the helpful communication and assistance I received from the absolutely superb manager, Simone Lacopo, and his very helpful and accommodating staff. His team of colleagues, led by Simone, helped me from beginning to end, with directions to the hotel, parking details, dinner recommendations, and a glorious breakfast both mornings I was there. My room was perfect and the view superb.
The owner communicated EXCEPTIONALLY WELL with us through WhatsApp to arrange drivers, reservations etc. This was very helpful as we don't speak italian. The outdoor patio area overlooking the village & the sea was an added bonus. The people of Gerace are extremely friendly. Of note - Having a car in this town would have allowed us to explore the area more & a lot is closed in October when we there.
The estate is located in a very quiet and green valley ("La Valle Incantata"). We rented a separate house - very comfortable, clean and remote. The owner is very "amichevole". The food (especially the antipasti) was fabulous. The pool helps in very hot summer late afternoons... The spot is ideal for exploring Gerace and the Ionian seaside in the neighbourhood.
Our stay at this hotel was different. The only person we saw was Antonio who seemed to take of everything. The restaurant was closed and there is no reception to ask questions. The hotel is very pretty and there are lovely decks to sit. Antonio was wonderful, helped park car, Provided breakfast , and provided a smile.
The vacation apartment is located right in Gerace next to the cathedral. The apartment is two floors with a lovely dining area stocked with olive oil from the owner’s farm and all sorts of yummy treats for breakfast. The owner even reserves a parking place for his guests!

Large clean, well maintained property in hilltop of Gerace. Very quiet at this time. Breakfast provided at cute cafe nearby. Lots of good food options. We really enjoyed wandering the streets. We would return and would recommend to friends.
Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was exceptional. Very friendly and flexible. The last day we had to leave hotel very early and the man serving us breakfast came that day very early just to give us breakfast.
