Our stay was amazing. The owner is super nice and caring, he provided everything we need and even more (several bottles of wine 😄). The house is quite big for 4 people, the renovation and furniture were new, we had all the facilities we needed. The location is great for those who are with the car, we had own parking place in the yard.
Just a couple of tips for improvement: it would be great to have a shower door or curtain and a drying rack.

- and therefore noticeably colder than Funchal down on the coast. It wasn't the most scenic village I've ever stayed in, but it was out of the city and had a couple of great levadas nearby to explore. The main reason to stay here is the fantastic Quinta da Moschadinha and its sister restaurant.

The surroundings are amazing.
The surroundings are amazing. We said it's like "to enter fairy's garden" because of all the flowers blooming trees and charm of an older yet well maintained place.
The people are friendly and even helped us out the first evening when all the shops were closed due to the curfew.
