I loved the view!! We stayed in the lodge called Madeline and it overlooked the creek down below and the sound was amazing of rushing water. Nestled in the redwoods with lots of nature sounds was so soothing and relaxing.

Lovely hotel in a lovely little coastal town. It has everything you expect from a boutique hotel: customer orientation, attention to details, cozy atmosphere... The location is great, the building is looking good. You basically have the beach near you. Also the pier is even closer.

Breakfast was good. We liked that it included eggs, and breakfast meat for the protein. Location was great. Very close, an easy walk to the pier, and the boardwalk is nearby the pier.

    The staff was so friendly and helpful! And we loved how historic the lodge is! We also loved that it's pet friendly, even though we didn't bring our dog this time I love knowing it's an option.

    Loved the food at the Brookdale cafe and grill.

    Loved the food at the Brookdale cafe and grill. Need to tell guests at check in that there is daily room service if you request. We were unaware. Had to ask for fresh towels nightly. We fixed a squeaky bathroom door in room 116. And you need ventilation in the bathroom. Mold on ceiling of bathroom.

    Great place, got to experience forest and beaches with same trip. Rooms clean, comfortable and it close to shops and food. Dog friendly was big plus!! Balconies were great with views of mountains. Lodge is really cool and cozy.
