Nice and cozy place, great staff, close to the free bus to Crested Butte, close to downtown Gunnison, lots of character. Great value.
I have always liked Gunnison. It's great if you are an active outdoors person. Blue Mesa has amazing fishing. Good hunting nearby. Great mountain biking in and around Gunnison. The river is excellent fishing also. The town is big enough to have everything you might need, but still a cozy small town.

Great little city in a beautiful setting.
Great little city in a beautiful setting. Could definintely spend more time there exploring, but it was just a stop on the way to our destination near Grand Junction. Ate at The Palisades (recommended by clerk) and food was good. Driving around, there seem to be many options for a variety of tastes (BBQ, Mexican, American, etc).

We like the restaurant The Old Miners Steakhouse, had the Prime rib, atmosphere was great and service very good. The town was better that I expected, wide streets, clean everywhere, nice looking town, had more stores that expected.

We didn't have much time to spend in Gunnison, but used the Post Office there and enjoyed walking down side streets to view the architecture. I had been in Gunnison many years ago and found it to be a friendly small town with interesting shops and good restaurants. We ate dinner at an excellent Chinese restaurant on Main Street that had large servings

Gunnison is a nice little Colorado town, however, since it is a college town, we were surprised that all the coffee shops, (including Starbucks!) were all closed by 7 pm. We only stayed one night and for convenience sake we just ate a McDonalds. Gunnison is small so navigating the town was easy, especially with GPS. The area is very scenic for folks who love the mountains and if you love to ski, this would be a great place to stay with Crested Butte just a short drive away. Even though it was just a stop on the way home to California, I would probably stay in Gunnison again if the opportunity arose.

Gunnison has so much to do.
Gunnison has so much to do. White water rafting, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking. Close to events at Crested Butte (Free Music Outdoors etc.). Housing is expensive here, so is lodging. Food choices are plentiful and run the gamut of prices.
location, size and comfort of room, good breakfast and very few hiccups. There is always one or two things that can and
usually do go south on any trip, in any hotel. We stay in high end hotels in New York, Seattle, New Orleans and San Fransisco and your hotel stacks up well against all of them. The only two (very minor) issues were that we had to get the room cards reset a few times and there was one front desk clerk that although, very helpful did not display any warm ans fuzzy feeling as the other staff members did
THAT VIEW! Great proximity to Gunnison. Well decorated, and basic facilities all provided. The number of rooms are perfect for a large family, with plenty of space to stretch out in different areas of the house. Spacious bathrooms. Basketball hoop w/ basketball. BEAUTIFUL firepit and fireplace for any season. It's much larger than expected, but easy to settle into. Message chair and hot tub were the perfect cherries on top.
Did not stay for the breakfast. We liked the spaciousness of the room. However, we thought for a hotel of this class, it was way overpriced, but since we realized that this was generally the case in this area´s market, we resigned ourselves to having to pay that. Never paid this much for a basic hotel before - anywhere!
Convenient stop in Gunnison, Colorado between Great Sand Dunes National Park and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and a final destination of Moab, Utah the next day. Modest price since most other rooms in town were more expensive.
The room was very large and had two separate vanities which we appreciated since we were there for five nights visiting family. The breakfast was the norm for this type of hotel with hot offerings.
Very comfortable and clean. Its an easy walk into town and actually provides a good hot breakfast.
The hotel also provides guest laundry facilities, a real bonus if you’re on a toad trip.
This place is an absolute GEM! We travel alot for horse shows and kind of endure the typical hotel beds. The beds at this place are phenomenal! Best night sleep on the road in forever!
Location was great. Loved the meadow outside the door, creek, and proximity to town and trails. Best thing about this place is how dog friendly they are. Managers were all really nice.
The staff was phenomenal! The breakfast was cute and simple, which matched the place. Loved that it was dog friendly. Loved meeting the furry welcome staff, Dozer and Regie!
I liked how the rooms were prepared and I definitely liked how quiet the hotel was people wise. The rooms were very clean. And the people who I ran into were nice.
