The breakfast buffet was really good. They also have a Kickback dinner option that was a great surprise and having a kitchen that is available for any other food you might want to order is a really good option.

The property was huge but it was in the Savannah slums!! It was very clean but I was not crazy about the city. After we left there was a shooting at the mall and some soldier went crazy over at the nearby Army base. STAY AWAY from Savannah!!

My wife and I liked everything we did and everywhere we ate the only downside of our trip was so many homeless people. Our favorite place that we ate was Vic’s on the river and Huey‘s Our favorite spot was the river walk To get around Savannah, I would suggest taking the hop on hop off trolley even though it’s $40 per ride very expensive. I would not suggest staying out late at night. It doesn’t feel safe with all the homeless people.

We go to Savannah at least 4 times a year.

We go to Savannah at least 4 times a year. We have stayed in almost all of the B&Bs in the historic district as well as many of the hotels and even some 2 and 3 bedroom VRBO offerings. Once we get to Savannah the idea is to park the car and not get back in a vehicle until the day we leave. This is a great walking town and we always have felt safe wandering around the squares, going in and out of stores and eating establishments, and enjoying some of the nightlife. River Street and Bay street shops are a bit touristy but still are a lot of fun. Avoid chain restaurants (not many of those anyway) and go to great places like Fiddlers and Pirate House for seafood, Vics on the River and Bella Napoli for fine dining, and Treylor Park (Bay St), Seafood Shack or Common on Broughton for great lunch options. Don't forget Lulu's Chocolate Bar for desserts and yummy martinis. If you get tired walking, a PediCab is a great way to get around.

We’ve been many times and the city is beautiful as always.

We’ve been many times and the city is beautiful as always. The vibrancy of Broughton Street was very enjoyable. We did notice a sizable increase in the numbers of homeless in Wright Square and the streets in general, but unfortunately this is a sad problem many cities have because of a lack of support programs. Tip: take a drive through the Ansley Park neighborhood, north of Forsyth Park. Beautiful twentieth century homes on giant oak lined streets.

Savannah is a beautiful Southern town and one you should definitely visit. The trolley ride tour was absolutely wonderful at showing the highlights of the city as well as informative of the history. Our apartment was close to the downtown area which made it very accessible. Getting around Savannah is very easy as there are lots of trolleys readily available.

we based our choice of restaurants by a review on some site...

we based our choice of restaurants by a review on some site that said the restaurant "Sorry, Charlie" had the best seafood gumbo and was open til midnight. when we got to the restaurant at 10:45 they said the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes and they haven't served seafood gumbo in YEARS. Never eat at a restaurant whose kitchen closes soon and always call ahead to make sure they offer the meals that are posted

The location is excellent particularly for first time visitors to Savannah. Right smack in the middle of the historic district yet slightly apart from the madness of River Street. The room was very pleasant and comfortable with traditional furnishings. The afternoon wine and cheese was a lovely touch and Wayne did a great job organising it. All in all the hotel has a very genteel, historic atmosphere and despite some gripes I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great old house just off the beaten path of the touristy downtown Savannah. None of the frills and all of the charm. Big, high ceilings, super comfy beds. If you are expecting polish and room service look elsewhere. This place oozes character and a bit of dust. I would definitely stay here again. And I am not one to share a bathroom--this place has two and they are kept clean. A real bargain.

Breakfast was average. Served its purpose for having something to snack on, nothing special, but not the worst. Location was by interstate 95, would be great for overnight travel, but still 15 miles from downtown Savannah. Not ideal for intown Savannah experience, but price is cheaper than intown hotels

The location is excellent, which was the main reason why we chose this hotel (in the historic district but not on the loud/busy part of town near the river). While small, the swimming pool is very nice and if you go there early morning or early afternoon it's very quiet and relaxing.

Love that the location is just outside of the main downtown area of Savannah. Perfect location for dogs with the dog park and river walk just across the street. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. Such a perfect stay, even for just 1 night.
