Located in Siem Reap, 2.3 miles from Angkor Wat, Shintana Saya La Maison has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The hotel staff were very friendly, and helped us with everything. Hotel helped us with booking of the two day Ankor Wat tour with tuktuk with fantastic driver mr. Rorth and amazing english guide mr. Kai. Mr. Rorth and Mr. Kai took us to not only temples, but also try local food and fruits. Cold towels and water provided was a bliss. Hotel room was very spacious, with balcony overlooking the pool, clean room, comfy beds, fresh fruit every day. Laundry was included into price, which was definitely a great perk to have. Hotel restaurant offered variety of choices for breakfast, including specials as well as local cuisine. Lunch/dinner menu included mix of local and western dishes, but we ate only local, and it was better tasting food than in the best restaurant in town. So we ended up going for dinner only at hotel itself. We also went to the spa multiple times, and the masseuse were very skilled and helped to relax the very tense muscles post all the walking we have done around the temples during the day. So all in all, amazing hotel and great quality/price ratio.

Located in Kratie, 6 miles from Phnom Sambok Pagoda, Sorya Guesthouse & Dolphin Tours provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Sorya guesthouse was absolutely perfect for my stay in Kratie! The rooms are spacious and light-filled. They each have a sweet little terrace, either looking out at the garden or the Mekong. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant on the top floor is wonderful - both the western and khmer dishes! I also did one of their kayak dolphin tours and can highly recommend it. The guide is incredibly knowledgeable and so generous in sharing information about the Mekong. He also was very attentive, looking back every 10 seconds or so to make sure I was following correctly and feeling ok in my kayak. The wind/current can be intense so be prepared for some intense kayaking but know it is well worth it.

Bungalows right on the beach, something really rare these days…the beach is a perfect white sand and turquoise water. Friendly and helpful staff members, arranged short trips to other beaches. great breakfast by the pool.

A huge buffet with everything your heart desires from western classics to typical Asian foods. - beds were super comfortable - pool had the right temperature, the view and sunsets from the rooftop bar are amazing. - efficiency of the staff: we had some problems with noises coming from our neighbors and the gym, and after we complained, the staff found us a perfect solution. Especially Mr. Lee and Ms. Bossaba were very forthcoming and helpful. We liked it so much, that we extended our stay by 2 nights.

The best thing about the Elephant was the staff. They were so friendly and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the welcome drink and fruit and the free afternoon tea. The restaurant was very well presented and all the meals we had there were excellent. There were always tuk tuks available to take us anywhere and reception would negotiate a price and the drivers would wait for us wherever we went and bring us back to the hotel. We were grateful to have guides and drivers arranged through the hotel. The service was the best we have ever experienced. We absolutely loved out stay at The Elephant.
