Our room was on the 14th floor and the view from the balcony was amazing. We can highly recommend the buffet breakfast. There was so much variety, hot and cold, and to top it off there was a chef on hand to fulfil any special requests such as omlettes or pancakes etc.

Tweed Heads is at an intersection between NSW and Queensland. A great place to stay both if travelling or visiting the surrounding area. The beach is soothing, the weather wonderful (mostly) and restaurants a plenty. It's a great place to wind down and recover.

Really liked Coolangatta and the Tweed area. Had good food where ever we went whether an expensive restaurant or the local pie shop. Beaches and walks are stunning, people were so friendly and helpful. Lot's of places to drive to, if the traffic allows.

Staff rude and jaded.
Staff rude and jaded.
Office not open at advertised hours to check in or out.

Cabin old musty smell with food stains and other marks on ceiling.
In general cabin old and worn out.
Anyone who visits the Gold Coast during summer knows that hotel rooms are at a premium, let alone at short notice. We stayed a night to visit family who were staying in Cooloongatta, so this was a convenient option. The room was well appointed with crockery, cutlery, a bar fridge, microwave etc. After going to beach, we needed a decent hot shower and there were no issues. Bed was comfortable enough and blackout curtains were helpful in the morning with the bright summer sun. There's a pool but we didn't have a chance to use it.
It's pet friendly, my little jack russel terrier (Jakx) had a wonderful time hanging out in the little back courtyard. They even provide a little doggie water bowl! The bed was really comfy and I asked the owner if they minded Jakx sleeping in bed with me, and they were cool! Communication was good, the internet was fast (had to do a bit of Teams meeting), and the neighbourhood seemed nice (police station just around the corner).
The person at check-in was lovely & friendly. And there was no issues.
Very close to an awesome Thai restaurant "Be Thai". We got food delivered through MenuLog. It was amazing. If it wasn't raining we could have easily walked there.
The motel isn't far from the water. It's a flat walk to the Tweed River & Coolangatta Beach, bars & restaurants.
4 Pines Brewery at Coolie is within walking distance and is dog friendly.
Stayed here for 6 nights for the blues festival, it was close by to the bus stop so getting to and from the festival was very easy. Staff were very helpful even though I arrived before the check in time, allowing me to store my bags and use the hotel facilities. Short walk to the beach and neaby shopping. Room was large and soundproof, bed was super comfy, and the shower was great.
Location was perfect for us, and if you do not have a car there is a bus service that goes as far south as Pottsville and a fast north as Surfers Paradise.. walking distance to Dan Murphy's, McDonald's, a bowls club and a shopping centre.
Bonus points for having a guest laundry, especially since it's cheaper than the local laundromat
I didn't have breakfast, The room was lovely and spacious. King bed was very comfy, I didn't worry about using the spa bath as I thought it was a waste of water. I can't really fault anything, to me it was lovely, and 100 metres across the road from Tweed Heads Bowls Club, and only around 1klm from Twin Towns.
Convenient to the Twin Towns club and airport although taxi drivers aren’t keen on the reality short ride. Good facilities within the complex. It is both a hotel and private residences some of whom use the hotel as a rental agent. The Area is quiet suited to older people.
This is a budget motel, and it meets all requirements for a good night sleep.
Friendly staff and a lovely setting.
Very close to Tweed Heads and Coolangatta.
Had everything you need and lovely pillows.
We gave stayed here before and will stay again.
Thanks
Bathroom was obviously recently renovated and the carpet looked new. Curtains were good quality if somewhat dated and bed was extremely comfortable. We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. We would choose this place if we had to visit Tweed Heads again.
The double mattress in the main bedroom was very comfortable. Has the basics for gas stove top cooking and microwave that you can easily work with for meals. A small oven would have been handy but not essential. Found cabins to be quiet when inside.
A very lovely Motel, pet friendly so that was awesome, the owner Brett was so accomodating, friendly and kind. The room was very clean, crisp linen. Perfect location, great price. I would highly recommend The Blue Pelican Motel. 10 /10
We liked the position of the hotel, which was close to amenities in both Tweed Heads and Coolangatta. The room was immaculate, with plenty of storage space. The beds were great. Staff were very helpful.
Spacious apartments. Ours didn't have a water view but we did look over the Cooloongatta hill. Great location convenient to shops and beach. Decor a bit dated but otherwise nice.
The room was spacious for a hotel motel. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were lot of amenities in the room that were helpful for a family too.
Everything about this motel was fantastic, spotlessly clean, bed and linen comfy, free biscuits! breakfast included..Best Motel I have stayed in for ages!
