This place has a fantastic location with some rooms (including ours) having a great view of the cathedral. The rooms are great, with nice beds. Vibrant vibe.

We loved the location and the ability to enjoy the sunshine at the pool. The owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. The apartment was very well appointed and the breakfast was delicious.

Situated just steps from Monreale Cathedral, very clean and extremely comfortable bed. Paola gave us very clear information how to go to Palermo by bus, ( which we preferred instead of driving in a very busy city). She also gave us very good advice to park our car at Parcheggio Comunale, which is very close to the property. We really enjoyed our stay and if we come back in the future we will not hesitate to stay again here.
Providing free parking and free Wi-Fi access, B&B Elvira Al Duomo is 1969 feet from Monreale Cathedral. Its classic-style rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and private bathroom.

The lovely exterior garden areas, the home clean and very well kept — inside and outside.

Owners were attentive, quality furnishings. Breakfast was sufficient, heat was available as needed. Too cold for the pool. Secure parking. Beautiful grounds that are well cared for.

Monreale is a city built on the side of the mountain, so be prepared to walk up hills and stairs! The big attraction there is the Duomo in the main square which is just beautiful in the inside as the artwork is done in gold! You will have to pay an entrance fee, but it is worth it. The streets can be a bit of challenge to navigate as there are street vendors, cars, vespas, bicycles and pedestrians all trying maneuver through the narrow streets. Monreale gives you a beautiful view of Palermo and the ocean.

We spent only an afternoon here, but so glad that we included it on our trip. The cathedral was the most beautiful we had seen on our trip to Italy - we also visited ones in Palermo, Cefalu, and Catania. There were several interesting restaurants on side streets near the town center and we found a lovely ceramic/mosaic shop just off the central square. Views were amazing and it was an easy car ride to the airport for our departure the next day.

Although you can get in the cathedral free to see the mosaics, I would suggest you get the inclusive tickets (€12) to see the Cloister, the Cathedral, the Sanctuary and get up to the roof for a fantastic view of the Cloister and the town.

For us the cathedral was the centrepiece, why we were there, and the 12th century mosaics were stunning. We also enjoyed seeing the cathedral packed with young, local families, after hundreds of years still a centre for the local community

The Duomo both inside and outside is spectacular.
The Duomo both inside and outside is spectacular. The small town itself is very picturesque as well, with some great little restaurants (e.g. Pepers and pizzeria Antica de Guillermo opposite the main entrance to the Duomo) and beautiful views of Palermo in the distance. It's a good place to stay as you avoid the pain of driving in the busy centre of Palermo. You can leave the car in Monreale and take a 20-minute bus ride into the centre for €1,40 one way. You get the bus tickets from any tobacconist.

The cathedral is breath-taking and worth a trip unto itself, but Monreale is also an ideal staging point for trips into nearby Palermo. We had great food and sight-seeing within Monreale itself and took advantage of a good bus system to spend a day in Palermo. It was easy to do and we enjoyed everything we did here.
Elvira’s B&B was wonderfully clean, attractive and safe. Breakfasts were delicious and the hospitality outstanding. Free parking was included
Located in Monreale, a mountain town with a famous cathedral, the sites of Palermo are easily accessible by public transportation. Monreale has good restaurants and public squares with lovely cafes. The historical center of Monreale is a short hike up the mountain.
The B&B is in a garden setting and our room had a balcony overlooking beautiful flowering plants and trees.
It was a lovely combination of old and new school. Beautiful quiet setting, lots of trees. Beautiful terrace overlooking spectacular views. Even had a pony and turtles. We stayed in a spacious, comfortable and chic room with a balcony that overlooked Monreale and Palermo. It’s Run by a lovely family who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious with the majority of the produce all homemade. Looking forward to returning again. Highly recommend.

Exceptionally clean and the room smelled so fresh and sweet! There is attention to detail and no dust or anything found even on shelves. The host was friendly and breakfast DELICIOUS!!! Best cappuccino I have had in awhile. Plus it was a family room so we had enough room for all of us and we were all together. Very close to Monreale Duomo. Very easy to get to with secured parking.
This was a wonderful place to begin our tour of Sicily: the owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. They offered to drive us up to Monreale each day, and advised us on where to eat and where to go; they also provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning, including freshly squeezed orange juice, and gluten-free options for me, which I had asked for on booking.
We were a little lost and suddenly I see a man waving at me from the street. That’s how we met Paolo. The room, hospitality, vista was terrific. The location was directly across from the Monreale cathedral. Breakfast!! Imagine being on a terrific terrace overlooking the countryside with delectable treats and fruit. What a gem of a place, with a terrific host.
Paola, the host, is just amazing, very welcoming and available all the time for any sort of need. Location is great, a stone throw from the UNESCO heritage site of the Monreale Cathedral. Plenty of choice for tasty food. 15 to 30 minutes driving from many must-go locations, as for the likes of Palermo and its nearby beautiful beaches.
Rooms was super nice, clean, bright - just 10/10!
Breakfast - the best in all Sicily 🤤 And portions are biggest in comparison of other locations 👍🏼
Location - good!
And surrounding: pool and the view stunning 🤩❤️🏝
Beautiful terrace where we could have breakfast in the morning. Host was very helpful, drove us into Monreale. The rooms were clean, on the utilitarian side, but that was ok, we were just there for one night.
A wonderful breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the sun bathed bay of Palermo and quiet opera music in the background. It was perhaps the most beautiful experience of my trip in Sicily.
On site parking, close to must see sites in Western Sicily, breakfast was fantastic, owners were very welcoming, helpful and available. Room was spacious and nicely decorated.
