The proprietor was one of the most welcoming I have encountered in my 80,000km bicycle ride around the world. Greeting us with “Bring the bicycles inside and store them securely on the patio.” Music to a cyclist’s ears! And very friendly and pointing us to the “best restaurant within 100 kilometers.” True! And, conveniently, 100 meters from the hotel.
The hotel was charming and super clean and super comfortable. Great beds, a lovely deck overlooking the city (and the finest restaurant for 100kilometers).

We stayed at Herdade Do Sobroso for our 7th anniversary and it's best destination we've ever had. The food was so very tasty, the wine amazing, the room spacious, plenty of activities although the area it's secluded. The staff was amazing, especially Julio - I believe it's the best Hotel Employee we've ever met. Nothing was too much, he sorted everything out for us, he made us coffee, we chatted as old friends-an absolute 5* star for him!
We will be back for sure!
