Historical property in the best location in Evora. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and shared the history of the property. It is amazing being able to stay in a 16th century house. You will not find such an interesting, full of character property like this in Evora, this is it!! Charming rooms, period pieces, scattered throughout the hotel. Stunning views. Exceptionally clean. Breakfast was offered in a huge room with antique furnishings. Kudos to the staff for being so attentive and helpful in every way possible. If you are looking for the Ikea bland hotel, this is not for you. The charming atmosphere would take you back to when the Noblemen's family was the owner. A very special Hotel. Highly recommend.

Exceptional stay in a great location at Evora!
From the outside you see a regular building in front of a nice plaza; but when you go in it is a beautiful hotel with very nice decorations and great welcoming staff. Furthermore, the room was the best in my Portugal roadtrip (I stayed at 7 hotels). Very good size, high ceiling, modern decoration, huge bathroom, good air conditioning, very clean, view to the plaza in front.
The breakfast was from very good to great. There were several plate you could order a la carte plus the buffet. Limited size dinning room but they organize the guests by 1.5 hour time slots. They ask your preferred time slot upon arrival.
Staff was very attentive. I had to leave 5am to catch my flight at Lisbon and they kindly prepared a breakfast to go bag for us.
They have their own parking but 10 min walk, which was not bad.
I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Évora is a beacon of heritage in the heart of rural Portugal. Life is played out among narrow, cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings that provide welcome shade. Most buildings are decorated with blue or yellow trim, giving this laidback city a coherent feel.
Blue tiles adorn the incredible interior of the Misericórdia Church, and the Church of St John the Evangelist also features this typical Alentejo style. The most outlandish is the Church of St Francis where one chapel is created entirely from human bones and skulls.
The Gothic cathedral has a peaceful cloister and next door is Évora Museum with its collection of medieval, Islamic and Roman artefacts. In the large square in front sit remains of the Roman Temple, and Roman bath ruins lie under the town hall.
The Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval has a turret-like tower, similar to those in the city walls. One of Évora’s most impressive monuments – the 16th-century Silver Water Aqueduct – passes right through the walls and used to end in large Praça do Giraldo, the city centre’s main square. Some of its stone arches have been cleverly bricked in to create bars and restaurants.
Booking.com’s accommodation in Évora includes luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels near the train station and guest houses by the university.

Évora is a quiet town of narrow, cobble-stone streets, a few historic sites and several good restaurants. I recommend it as a break from big cities. I tghnk you can see the important sites in a two nights visit, or two days (one night) if you get there early on the first and leave in the afternoon on the second.
Must see: Cathedral, Chapel of Bones, Roman Temple, Aqueduct, Praça do Giraldo.

I went to Evora for basically 2 things. 1 was the chapel of the bones which I did get to do. Fascinating place. The other thing that I really wanted to do was a hot air balloon ride nd unfortunately the Balloonist just couldn;t fit me into their schedule which was disappointing.

Ate at Cavalarica next to the Roman Temple. Amazing food and great little courtyard sitting under fruit trees.
A highlight was the Bone Chapel but also the tower and cloister of the Cathedral. Hidden gem: the Casas Pintadas, 16 century frescoes, and they were free!

We don’t mind basic, but this wasn’t clean, or safe, door frame coming off. Bed was probably once comfy but so old we tipped into it.
Breakfast terrible, coffee not hot, only green tea ( good for me but not my husband) rat poison box under table in dining room.
There were cobwebs everywhere.
The 2 guys running it were nice, polite etc, but they are up against it.
Massive renovation required

Evora is a lovely city full of history and unexpected corners. We used Evora as our "base-camp" to visit many other interesting places in the region, including the megaliths of Cromeleque des Almendres, Estremoz, Vilaviçosa and Elvas.

Great hotel! Very good value for the money.
Great hotel! Very good value for the money. Breakfast buffet was very good. Beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were top quality. Great location - can walk to everything! Staff was amazing and very friendly. Loved our stay and will book Moov in the future!!!!
The hotel is much near the city square, which is the center of Evora. We could reach any tourist attraction by walking within 10 minutes.
The room is very clean and quiet at night. And we can feel that the host tries so hard to make it comfortable by using high-quality bedding. There even is a wool Portugal blanket.
This is a modern building but is packed with style and character. The hotel is ideally placed for sightseeing in the old town of Evora. We were very happy with the service we received and would recommend. There's also the added bonus of a peacock strutting his stuff in the garden!
