My wallet was never found in the end but I’m grateful for their efforts. The hostel is a great location - ~10 min walk from train/bus station and main hub of Takayama. It is also kept very clean! Personal lockers in dorm rooms were also a bonus!

K’s House has the friendliest staff who have a lot of knowledge of the area and are always happy to help. The communal areas (kitchen, dining and living areas) are great - a lot of newer hostels we went to didn’t have this! The rooms and bathrooms are basic but fine for the price (we had a private bunk bed room). Overall we liked staying here!
