FAQs about hotels in Buenos Aires

Tango for Your Senses

Cosmopolitan and trendy with South American essence and European charm, Buenos Aires represents the living image of tango: elegant yet passionate and nostalgic. Surrounding its harbor and vastly populated by immigrants from the Old Continent, it is a faithful image of Argentina’s typical ethnic patchwork.

The enormous relief of Evita’s face at 9 de Julio Avenue, La Boca's humble and colorful streets, the stylish buildings along Avenida de Mayo, or the modernly refurbished docks in Puerto Madero: Buenos Aires is an exciting and captivating city, full of history and full of stories.

Some of the finest Buenos Aires hotels are located near the Casa Rosada, in the Montserrat district. A few blocks south, you can find hotels in San Telmo mixing modern style and old-fashioned architecture.

Just outside the center in Recoleta, there are beautiful early 20th-century hotels, mansions and embassies surrounded by greenery. Palermo hotels include a vast array of apartments, hostels and small boutique accommodations.

After arriving at Ezeiza International Airport, enjoy the rhythm of Buenos Aires and its many cultural offerings, fashionable shopping streets, its huge variety of restaurants, and the busy nightlife.

We were delighted to return to the land where I grew up and studied, to remember beautiful places and moments that I enjoyed with my family. Argentina is beautiful from every angle. I recommend the Don Julio Restaurant, it's a beautiful place and the food is wonderful.

Good public transport system for a true metropolis.

Good public transport system for a true metropolis. While there are unending things to do, it does take some research and planning. If you are busing between the city and the airport, make sure that you get the express No. 8 and not the commuter one. San Telmo during the Sunday market. The nature reserve to the east of the city is like a rain-forest aviary with a city centre skyline backdrop. Real bookshops, street art instead of graffiti, empanadas for any meal. The eco-park beside Plaza Italia metro station with rescued wild animals and mate refilling stations. Wandering around 19th century skyscrapers and their classical cafes.

It's a huge city, you have different things to do everyday. June is an excellent month to travel cause it's not full of tourists. If there's any football match, I totally recommend to go to a bar to watch it while drinking something.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful. When I noticed there were only 3 hangers in the closet, I called the front desk, and a maid came immediately with about 10 hangers. I also had questions about using the shower, and someone came right away. I was born in Argentina but moved to New York with my family many years ago. My last visit was six years ago with my son and family. My oldest granddaughter was nine at the time and told me she'd like to go back. I promised I would, just the two of us, and it was my present to her celebrating her 15th birthday. We had a great time, just the two of us. She wanted a photo of her in front of the Casa Rosada. We also went to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, and to a tango show, among many sites. I also liked el Puente de la Mujer and admired how clean the city was, unlike Manhattan. She had a very good sense of direction, and suggested we walk back rather than take a cab. I was disappointed I wasn't able to find even a post card of La Boca. While we were at the airport, I found a place that sold books, but when I asked for La Boca I was sold one about the team and their fans, not the place! On my previous visit I'd been able to find postcards of the city. Not this time!

    Lots to see and explore.

Lots to see and explore. Nice big parks, interesting areas to walk around and explore, museums and activities. Must do a (free) walking tour to learn more about the city and its people. Great food and wine everywhere.. The metro is very good for moving around in the center, otherwise just use taxis. Speaking English is not a given, but somehow you communicate eventually. Beginning of May, and mosquitoes were a HUGE issue!

It is a hugh but lovely city.

It is a hugh but lovely city. People were friendly and helpful. We planned a two part stay ith a trip to Patagonia in between. On first part we stayed closer in to town, by Florida shopping street. Great location to get orientated. Close enough walking to some major parts of the city. Also, short distant rides on Ubers which were very reasonable and a lot less than taxi's. Second part of stay we stayed in an apartment found on Booking.com in the district of Palermo which is more upscale Part of town. Both were great stay areas. Beautiful city with amazing architecture,

The hotel is in the heart of a safe neighbourhood like Palermo Soho. The staff composed by Andrea and Nicola was really professional in accommodating my needs. I booked a single room and asked to check-in a couple of hours earlier, around 11. Once I arrived from the airport they upgraded my booking with a double room that was already available. Such a classy act.

The best hostel in buenos aires! Is that how a hostel should be. I have been in other popular hostel around and in Palermo as weel, they don’t have nothing to offer, no activity, people don’t hang out. Viajero has a different environment, its fun, the staffs are very friendly, installation is awesome! My room was big, everything modernized.
