Sandy Bay is a very pleasant clean suburb with a beautiful beach and boardwalk. Amazing views of the Derwent River and Hobart Town when you drive/walk up the road to the residential area at the top of the hills. We stayed about half up, the view was beautiful.

    The period building was gorgeous.

The period building was gorgeous. The view over to see a little of the harbour. Close walking distance to pub & supermarket. We stayed in Room 8 with a kitchen that to suit the quality of the spacious room 2 bedrooms needs a better quality kitchen.

Historic area, quiet although on a main Rd. Excellent walking, paths & beaches Food & beverage close by- the restaurants & pubs seemed like expensive but we do not eat out a lot. The Wursthouse was a great place to pick up lovely home cooked food and cook at accommodation. People were friendly & helpful. Tour of Maria Island by amazing- Michael was great, Steve & Allie on the cruiser were informative.

Sandy Bay was ideal for access to central Hobart.

Sandy Bay was ideal for access to central Hobart. The main road is busy and side roads are often one way, so parking is a bit difficult. There are lots of places to eat plus a Coles for your own supplies. A good walk to access central Hobart and Battery Point, plus it has several bus services. A short drive to North Hobart for more great places to eat.

My trip was for business purposes in Sandy Bay, hence the reason I chose this property. However, most of the other guests I saw seemed to be holidaying so obviously it is a good location to get around.

Access and parking was not good but the view was great.

Access and parking was not good but the view was great. Noise from attached house was intrusive as it was a wooden floor above and common wall through locked doorway didn’t filter noise such as conversation, walking around on wooden floor, music and children playing. We could hear everything so clearly which made us realise that our adjoining neighbours could probably hear us as well so we muted the TV with CC and kept conversations to a minimum.

2 bedroom, ground floor apartment with parking in Sandy Bay. Large windows, nice and bright. An outdoor area, very private. This is actually a great location, and an easy walk into the historic centre. Very quiet, in a lane. But close to shopping and dining options. The apartment is incredible. Very modern, quality fittings and furnishings, and really comfortable lounges and bed. Great kitchen, everything needed and more. Mini jams, butters, selection of teas, a welcome gift box, a bottle of red wine. Felt very luxurious and welcoming.

My friend and I booked 2 rooms at this property at the end of November 2023. He was in the large room with a private balcony overlooking the Derwent and I was in a room out the back with my own bathroom, but without a view. The view from his room was great and he also had a spa bath. My room was clean and comfortable. Rooms had drinking water in them when we arrived and there was limited tea/coffee. The view from the communal lounge room was great. The Location was okay as it gave you access to Sandy Bay attractions and outlets.

The house is amazing and in pristine condition. It looks recently renovated, with modern appliances and well decorated. It had all you could need: kitchen with all kitchenware, laundry, etc. The fact that it also had shampoo/conditioner and coffee available like you would in a lodge/hotel it was also welcome. It also had off street parking.

Boutique luxury! The high ceiling rooms and backyard courtyard were lovely to rest in after a day sightseeing. Spa bath and complimentary breaky were added luxuries. Can't wait to go back. Sandy bay is also a good spot to see bioluminescence at the beach.

it was an old style town house in close vicinity to UTas campus and 30 min stroll along the water side to Salamanca. It had a nice and quiet backyard. Beds were comfy and there was enough space to house three colleagues.
