As the world’s largest diamond-cutting city, Antwerp (Anvers in French) is naturally affluent. It comes as no surprise then that fashion is also of utmost importance, so the shopping here is excellent. It may not be the cheapest place, but the quality certainly matches the price.
Another big business in Antwerp is the port, one of Europe’s largest. Take a cruise around to admire its scale. The Scheldt River leads from the port into the city, and on its banks are a handful of interesting museums and Het Steen, a medieval castle built to protect the city against Viking invasions.
A few streets back is the Grote Markt, a beautiful square flanked by the grand town hall and 16th-century guildhouses – a typically Belgian scene. Behind this is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Antwerp Cathedral, whose asymmetrical towers look down over Groenplaats, a tranquil square filled with pavement cafes. Belgian beer is legendary and the local brew is De Koninck, which packs quite a punch.
In the south of the city is the most unusual sight – Wilrijk’s huge Jain Temple, one of the largest outside India. A little further east is Antwerp Airport, efficiently connected by public transport to the Antwerp hotels, guesthouses and apartments that are available on Booking.com.

Busy, bustling place with lots to see and do.
Busy, bustling place with lots to see and do. Trendy docklands, the Old Town with its square and Cathedral. The Het Stein castle, a remnant of medieval times, art galleries for art buffs, a museum dedicated to the diamond trade, fashion museum. Lots of places to eat to suit all pockets and more varieties of beer than you can imagine! The main train station is spectacular and the only triple decker station I have ever seen. Cheap trams work well once you suss the routes, bicycles to hire everywhere.
Loved it!

Take the walking/cycling tunnel under the river - great experience and a lovely walk along the left bank.
If you are in Antwerp on Saturday or Sunday, I highly recommend the Handelsbeurs - stunning architecture and interesting history.

If you're flying into Antwerp, I highly recommend paying a visit to a restaurant located approximately a 15-minute walk from the airport called "Jardin Public". From there, you can catch a tram to the Central Station. In my opinion, the highlights of the trip were definitely the Central Station and the Central Square.
Getting around Antwerp is fairly easy, but you also have the option to rent bicycles or use electric scooters. For dinner, we opted for The Eleventh Commandment / Elfde Gebod and were impressed by the delicious food and speedy service.
I would have loved to extend my stay if possible; perhaps a minimum of a 3-day trip would be ideal. On the return journey to the airport, I opted to take an Uber for convenience.
The Reception staff were great. The king-size bed was perfect.
The location was superb, in the centre of town yet very quiet, upmarket residential. Very much in the Jewish part of Antwerp so anybody looking for kosher restaurants, shops etc will find nothing like it anywhere else in continental Europe. The streets perfectly safe to walk day and night. Everybody very helpful and polite and all speak amazing English. Trams very near the hotel and the truly amazing 'Centraal' Station just 10 minutes' walk.
The room was very pleasant, it was cozy , modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team has always been kind, friendly, patient and helpful. Hotel's location is perfect - a few minutes walk from Antwerpen central station and very close to many restaurants , bars and shopping centres. Room has a good soundproof windows so we did not hear any noise from outside. Bed was very comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.
The hotel is centrally located in Antwerp close to Central Station. The reception staff were friendly & helpful. The public parking is underneath the hotel. The hotel bar has good decor, it is a good place to relax and plays upbeat music. The room was of a good size, with a large flat screen TV and views of Antwerp. The breakfast selection was good for fruits, cereals, pastries and hot food. Just no option for a large selection of eggs.
The price is very good value for a clean, modern techie room with unique architecture, and decor. It's located right across from Antwerp Central Station. You can stay in station and walk directly across to entrance of hotel. Attractive lobby with large gathering space in what looks like a library. Hot and cold water is provided free of charge all day. Front desk is very helpful.
The decor was beautiful and the architecture was so interesting. The owners were so friendly and helpful, giving us pointers about Antwerp and making reservations for us. The breakfast was so generous, delicious and elegant. The property is located out of the tourist area and in an area where you can see local life, yet it was a short walk to Antwerp Centraal train station.
We reckon that Hampton has the best location in Antwerp. The hotel is located adjacent to Central Station.
Our bedroom was adequately sized with modern, bright interiors and fully carpeted floors.
The buffet breakfast we had was also satisfying with sausages, crispy bacons and varied selection of pastries and juices.
The hotel is close to the bus station where Flixbus arrives, which is very convenient. Room is very basic, feels like student dorm, but it's clean, spacious, has a big desk, good view. Price for a room with private bathroom is reasonable compared to other places in Antwerp. It's walking distance from the historical center.
The hotel is located next to Antwerp Central Station, 5 minutes from the main streets and shopping area. In 15 minutes in the center where restaurants and bars are located.
The staff was very friendly and we could let our luggage at the back after we checked out. The room was okay, we had a beautiful view of the city.
Exceptional breakfast- 5*! Friendly, helpful staff throughout and very clean and modern hotel. I liked that if you chose not to have your room serviced you were given vouchers for a drink from the bar. Great location and easy walk to the centre of Antwerp as well as right next to the central station. Great value also.
I highly recommend this hotel. Very well located. A true gem in the decor. Some people resists the uniformity we can find in today’s accommodation. Hotel Fin de siècle. Art Nouveau charm. Owner and manager were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also excellent. I will come back when in Antwerpen.
The location & cleanliness. Hotel is walkable from the Antwerp Centraal Station, made our trips in other Schengen areas to & from Antwerp easy to manage. Cleanliness is superb. The hotel is also near the supermarkets, just as you walk out of the lobby! Thank you. It was a great stay.
This hotel has a great location, so close to the Antwerp's main railway station. We had a beautiful view of the entire Koningin Astrid Plein.
From there you can easily reach every place in the city center by foot. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the breakfast delicious.
The hotel is very well located between the train station Antwerpen Centraal and the city center. The room is perfect for two people, it's cosy and has all the amenities that one might need during the stay. Moreover, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I recommend it!
Amazing experience! Me and my colleague came to Antwerp for the first time and the staff shows great hospitality and provided a lot of information to us.
The hotel is located in prefect central location, and also in a quiet neighborhood. Will definitely visit here again!
located close to Antwerp Centraal station and not far from the Grotte Markt and the sights of Antwerp. Very good, clean and new 3 star hotel. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. No in-room safe. Good location. Breakfast is not bad but doesn't change.
The rooms were simple, yet very modern looking. The rooms consisted of all the ammenities for a great stay.
The check-in time for the hotel normally is at 3, however the staff gladly helped me at 1:30 after my arrival in Antwerp.
The breakfast was excellent it would cover all visitors expectations in comfortable surroundings. The hotel is ideally situated for anyone visiting the old part of Antwerp
