Breakfast was good. The selection of food was decent, a lot of cheeses, bread, pastries, but the selection of vegetables was poor. Also, they serve ground coffee, which is always good.

Sofia is the Bulgarian capital and its largest city, situated at the foot of Vitosha Mountain in the very center of the Balkan Peninsula. With a variety of architectural styles, picturesque scenery and easy access to outdoor activities, this city is a definite must-see!
From well-preserved city walls built in the 7th century BC through to the early Medieval buildings. From the 4th-century Rotunda St. George and 10th-century Boyana Church with its stunning 13th-century frescoes to Socialist-era monumental constructions, Sofia is a real treat for history lovers.
Most of the popular landmarks are located in the Oborishte district, the most central part of the city featuring plenty of greenery, cobbled streets and the most popular landmark, the Neo-Byzantine Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
Sofia has plenty of natural sites too, including the renowned thermal and mineral springs, the primary reason Thracians established the city here before the 7th century BC. Enjoy a walk in the most popular parks, the Borisova gradina or the impressive Vitosha Nature Park with more than 6,500 acres within the city limits.
From hiking to skiing on the Vitosha and from sightseeing to relaxing in mineral springs, Sofia has plenty of fun for everyone! On Booking.com you can find nearly 190 properties in the city, from 5-star central accommodations to convenient hotels near Sofia Airport.

Sofia is an ancient city, which has to offer many places to visit to the traveler. Starting from the heritage of the Roman empire - many remains are exposed to the public (there are also several churches dating 4-5 century AD) - to modern times buildings, i.e. some nice examples of interwar architecture, there is definitely something to see. And to feel the atmosphere of the modern East European city. Food is good, although in some cases with local specifics. Mountain hiking is also an option (within the same day).

Sofia is a big sprawling city with no real centre or old town but it has beautiful gardens and is interesting to wander around. The streets and parks are spotless and people cleaning and planting all the time. No stray cats or dogs but nearly everybody is out walking their dog or dogs. I had my dog with me and she had a great time. Lots of amazing vegan food to be found. The people are very friendly and the city feels safe despite most properties having bars on the windows. A throwback to more challenging times maybe?

The city itself is not that exciting, a couple of cool churches to see and that’s about it. I spent all my free days doing day trips to rila national park, Devetashka cave, Krushunski waterfalls and lovech which was so amazing and worth it.

Very cozy sunny city with a lot of parks and vegetation. Clean, modern, decent size, no feeling of a hectic megapolis, everywhere is nerby, Pitoresque architectrure with fairly low buildings in sort of harmonical balance.. very good system of public transport, delicious healthy food, reasonable prices and easy going smiling people. I nwas very plaesantly surprised. I liked Sofia more than Budapest or Bucuresti in fact and will be happy to return...

We spent an afternoon in Sofia, mostly the bus/train station and Serdika areas. The bus stations desperately needs modernisation and more facilities but buses run on time so we can't argue with that.
It was an enjoyable few hours, the people were friendly, there are some roman ruins in the Serdika area with churches/mosques and a synagogue we saw. The trams through the city were very frequent. We used the metro for the airport and to our apartment which is excellent.

Very cozy city; a mix of old communism buildings and modern life, pubs and restaurants. Beautiful mix of different cultures (mosque, orthodox churches, catholic churches and sinagogues in the same street). It's really a place to visit in the Balkan area
The house was close to the center of town and all the sights we wanted to see. There was plenty of beds for our family of seven, and the rooms were quiet. We loved the balcony that overlooked the courtyard and we enjoyed waking up each morning to see what the neighbor’s cats were doing!
The staff was great to communicate with and answered all of our questions before arriving. They also assisted with a taxi to get from the airport which was a concern for us since we didn’t speak Bulgarian.
The apartment is delightful and meticulously clean.
The appliances are of a high standard as is the quality of the renovation.
The bed mattress, pillow and covers are fantastic.
Host is very helpful and responsive and he gave a tip about a good local and cheap eatery nearby (the cafes, bakeries and cake shops in the vicinity are of a low quality as is usually the case in Bulgaria and that is unfortunately also true of the venues in Serdika Center shopping mall that is a 15 minute walk away).
The hotel is situated in the very center of Sofia but somehow feels hidden and isolated from the noisy streets, which is fantastic. The neighborhood is full of small restaurants and coffee shops.
The room was small, clean, and well furnished. Ours has windows towards the street so it wasn't super silent, but it was OK.
I'm very pleased with the staff - very friendly and welcoming - and the breakfast. The quality of the food was better than in most places in Bulgaria.
The location is exceptional, in the city center, very close to the churches, attractions, shops and the metro station. We got a very nice big room, the bed is comfortable, everything is new and clean.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the nice young lady at the reception called Anastasia.
We liked breakfast very much: tasty coffee, a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, nice bakery, smoked salmon, etc.
The hotel is highly recommended for travelers
Absolutely nothing it was the worst hotel in Sofia. There was no water!!! Then the staff just did the Bulgarian shrug and told me it’s not their problem. They didn’t apologize, they didn’t offer a refund or any kind of compensation. It was traumatic. The manager did not call me although they promised they would. This is a pitiful place and should be shut down. It is a disgrace. Do not book here, you’re better off sleeping in a dumpster than this pile of trash.
Nice hotel in the centre of Sofia near the famous Boulevard Vitosha. Great shopping and going out in the area.
The hotel is in a quiet street and has a 24hr reception.
Our room was a studio and was large with a little kitchen block in it and a balcony.
It was at the back of the hotel so quieter than at the front. The room had a good shower.
Breakfast was good and a little more on offer than usual in Bulgarian hotels
A beautiful hotel, that's very health focused which I liked and bamboo or memory foam pillows on request! The view from the top of the hotel in the sky bar is lovely and it's a well run hotel with friendly professional staff. If I come back to Bulgaria, I will definitely be staying at the grand millennium again.
Every time I go to Sofia, I can't miss to sleep in this 5 stars hotel just few steps from Serdika.
Very big and comfortable rooms and apartments, good rates, excellent breakfast.
There is also the Metro station just under the hotel and the railway station is very close if you want to explore Bulgaria by train.
The location of the hotel is in the perfect Center surrounded from the best restaurants and beer pubs that Sofia can offer. Staff are very helpful and friendly I would rate them with 10 out of 10.
Definitely on my next stay in Sofia Bulgaria I will visit DITER hotel.

Great Location for Sofia City Centre and hotel within walking distance of the main touristic sights.
Good sized room with tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Comfortable bed and good shower.
Adequate buffet breakfast Bulgarian Style, but food for everyone, regardless.
The hotel had a very good breakfast. Not many options, but enough and good options of salt and sweet food.
Coffee machine and also for hot chocolate, that is not so common to have.
It`s located near to city center, also to the metro station and tram stop.
The location is in the mountain but close to the city center, the place is after renovation and with new furniture. Free parking and Wi-Fi. Very nice restaurant with Bulgarian dishes - good price and excellent taste.
I'm almost a client of the house, I have a company in Bulgaria so when I go to Sofia I always stay at this hotel, the breakfast girl is a kind girl and super polite and smiling, her smile is quite contagious
Elly and Aleksandra really helped me with my stay and were super helpful and nice, as well as the Italian kitchen with the best food I've eaten so far for the whole stay in bulgaria so far.
Olga, the landlord, is proably the most friendly lady in all of Bulgaria :) the apartment itself is located in the strict center, 5 minutes walk from the main boulevard which is awesome.
Very nice hotel rooms, best pillows in Bulgaria so far for me , nice staff and convenient location close to the airport. I'll recomend this hotel in Sofia.
