Great location right in the heart of the village. Beautiful pool and beach. Rooms were large and well appointed. Staff was phenomenal! Vanessa is an absolute gem and made our days at the pool perfect! Jacqueline went above and beyond to ensure everything from transportation to Easter egg hunts were taken care of.

The grounds were immaculate and beautiful with gorgeous tropical plants everywhere. all of the rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. The rain shower had amazing water pressure! And the bed and pillows were so comfortable, I could’ve stayed in bed much longer if I wasn’t so excited to get up and explore Belize! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even after we left our stay at Mariposa we came back to say goodbye once more and have one more pina colada with the wonderful people running this great place.

I was a little nervous about staying here because, due to it being eco-friendly, the cabins didn't have air conditioning and the stay wasn't going to be as luxurious as some other stays I've had, but I am so glad I took a chance and we decided to stay here. It is a once in a lifetime experience, and you truly feel like you're on your very own private island. We were free to do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted, and the food and drinks were absolutely excellent. Every single thing we ate was delicious. It exceeded all of our expectations. We were able to snorkel and kayak, and my husband went fishing every day we were there (and caught something to eat each day too!). The wildlife is amazing to see, and the water is absolutely crystal clear. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and they're always around to answer questions, check to see if you're hungry/thirsty, or need anything. Allen and Lloyd make our stay remarkable, and we will be recommending this island stay for years to come!

Close to the beach (but not on it). Close to many good restaurants. Very lovely, calm oasis. Loved the kitchenette in the villa, and enjoyed the hammocks.

Good places to buy groceries and to eat. Limited bus and boat service could leave you stranded. great ice cream shop. Stay for a couple of days and then head to Hopkins for a superior beach experience..went snorkelling on the Marine reserve and was disappointed as there weren't many fish to see.

We stayed at Itz'Ana on Placencia about 15 minutes north of the village. Itz'Ana was a beautiful place, with gorgeous infinity pool overlooking very nice beach. Our room opened onto the pool deck with a good sized patio with a comfortable daybed outside. Plenty of shade, great breezes. The staff was great. Placencia Village itself has some good restaurants and good grocery stores for provisioning but not much else. Taxi service was good and prices good, but best to ask in advance, "How much will it be to take two people to Rick's restaurant". You'll get a straight answer. A lot of people rented golf carts to get around, and that might have been nice--but none available at our resort.

People are wonderful.
People are wonderful. Restaurants are fabulous cute little beach bars, always having entertainment and specials, I’ve never met more friendlier people, the sidewalk with all the little shops was a lot of fun, and you get to know the people along the way, a word of advice check beach conditions before travelling as it was, horrible, full of garbage and trash, from the ocean it just had not been cleaned up yet, and there was so much of it, it’s not always like that they had quite a few storms, but still ?

The village is very small.
The village is very small. It advertises white, sandy beaches, but does not mention the seaweed that is all along the coastline. I feel it is important for travelers to know that the magic is in the excursions to the little islands like Laughing Bird Caye. There are many good restaurants, but food variety is limited due to the remote location. There is an ice cream shop that is exceptional! It is fun and relaxing to stay in Placencia.
Odasa is a gem. She met us on check-in and helped us to pick up something we forgot after checkout. A lovely person.
The cabana room was comfortable and larger than other similar rooms of the same price in Hopkins and Placencia.
There was AC and a fan so the room was comfy during the heatwave, and after going to many of these types of accommodations in Belize this may be the only cabana hotel I may book again.
Given the average hotel room standard and cost of hotels/stays in Belize, this is very good value for money.
Located on the Broadwalk close to Placencia Beach the hotel is easy to find. It is also easy to get around Plecencia on foot and there are plenty 0f bars and eateries within a couple of minutes walk. The beach is also a couple of minutes walk away.
The rooms were really big with king size beds which were really comfortable. The rooms included a fridge, coffee machine and aricon as well as a tv. Rooms were very clean and cleaned daily.
Top floor deck area is a useful area for drying clothes.
Everything about this hotel was perfect- from start to finish. I got lucky and chose 5 nights when I practically had the entire property to myself- and perfect weather in October on top of that. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the grounds are gorgeous. Only sad thing was seeing the immense amount of washed up ocean plastic on the beach just off property. The staff were gracious about letting me collect some and recycle it. Don’t miss this spot, it’s a little slice of heaven.
The people who stay at the hostel are all super cool. The host, Pandora, is super knowledgable and helpful. I loved cooking and hanging out with hostelers, especially locals. The bed was super comfy. I loved all the hammocks and the availability of kayaks. The dogs were cute and friendly too. Also, sunrise is right on the beach!
The staff was wonderful. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to the airport but they will take you if you ask! The pool was clean and fun. They had a golf cart to use to go into town if you need. The food was really good.
The hotel is on the beach, only a few steps from the ocean! Breakfast, lunch and dinner is excellent. (Try the Belizean breakfast!) Owners and staff are extremely helpful. It felt like home from the first second. I strongly recommend it.
Quiet area. Staff are veru helpful. Indoor facilities are new and working well. Kitchen is fully equipped. Art pieces inside the unit are a nice touch ! Guests can access pool and facilities in sister-hotel Ocean Breeze downtown 👍
The setting for this little hotel is stunning. Just feet away from the Caribbean Sea. The rooms are spotless and brilliantly equipped and the staff were superb. Breakfast on the roof terrace was wonderful. Faultless!
Literally right on the beach, which they rake and tidy up every day. Hammock is nice touch. Even in the busy season, my guess is that Placencia doesn't get over-crowded. We needed and were able to relax and unwind bigly.
Hotel is well located in the core of Placencia's town, but we no noise around. It has direct access to the beach. The staff is really nice and helpful. Our room size was bigger than the average room for the price-range.
It is a great little hotel at the central spot in Placencia. Easy access to the Cayes, with many scuba and snorkeling trips available in the town. The barrier reef is beyond belief if you do scuba.
Right on the beach with a pool and tiki bar. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable and staff were all super friendly and helpful. Walking distance to stores, bars and restaurants.
Jena and Eddy are the folks that helped us the most and they are great!!!!! These two people are great assets to this hotel. The food and the view in the restaurant was great.
The room and cleanliness and view were nice. The room came with a full kitchen. Also there is good access to the beach as the property is on the beach.
