It was an excellent location. A home away from home. We stay in the spring just before things opened. Im sure during the summer it would be different. This location would be a fun place for families. We did get to visit Green Gables and sightseeing, lighthouses and ocean views and sunset were beautiful.

Loved the friendly staff and the kitchen/dining area. The location worked perfectly for us. It was lovely and cozy.

Gorgeous beach with a mix of white sand and beautiful views of red cliffs. The area includes the Anne of Green Gables Heritage site and the Arglye Park - both can be visited in a day trip. Cavendish beach and surrounding area is definitely worth a visit for a day or 2!

Lots of family fun attractions!
Lots of family fun attractions! We always find something new to do while visiting PEI, but also make a point of visiting our favorite attractions such as the Haunted Mansion in Kensington and the Boardwalk and Sandspit in Cavendish

Everything is very expensive, especially food, no fast food restaurants at all (a McDonald's would of been nice) ended up paying $80 for a very basic pub meal (no drinks) for two adults and one kid.
For a family of three each difference experience was about $100 ( the amusement parks, tourists attractions and such)
Lots to do if you have the money.

The shower stall was a show stopper.
The shower stall was a show stopper. Waaay too small..no place for toiletries..not enough outlets.tv outdated. Couch from the 80s. Needed more outlets or a surge protectors outlet strips. Bed was very comfortable. Colors of kitchen bathroom nice. Place was clean and the kitchen. Was quaint and nice. Mount a modest flat screen on the wall and put a futon w removable, washable covers. The pictures online showed well trimmed grounds and painted cute cottages. When we got there..the grounds were over grown and every building needed painting!!! Yikes. Young woman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We decided to leave after one night as we were too stressed put looking at all the work that needed to be done around the place and shower stall was too challenging to maneuver!!! Probably never get our money back for the 3 days of our reservation I paid for in advance and did not use.

There was a lot to do around this area - especially if you arrived a week or two earlier AND if there hadn’t been a hurricane bearing down on the region!
By September 20 a lot of restaurants and businesses are closed for the season - but then again the Provincial Parks are no longer charging fees! (And with “the warmest ocean waters north of the Carolinas”, my husband even swam in the sea at Sally’s Beach!)
A hurricane of historic proportions (Fiona) was aimed at PEI/maritime Canada, so we had two and a half days of okay weather, during which local folks were preparing for the storm. It was lovely, but as we fled to the Confederation Bridge and mainland ahead of predicted devastation we agreed out hadn’t REALLY been a fair chance to evaluate Prince Edward Island.

It's a seasonal town with plenty of activities for adults and children.
If your interested in Anne of Green Gables, you can see all the attractions concerning the author in a day.
Prices for the attractions are reasonable, gift shops are priced as expected, you don't feel cheated and lots to see and lots of history.
A nice variety of restaurants, but only one place for a sit down breakfast.
Location was great if you want to visit the Anne of Green Gables sites and Cavendish beach. Right opposite LM Montgomery resting place and near Montgomery park; easy walking distance to Green Gables Heritage site; walking distance to beach and 3 mins from national park/beach area; next to a Tim Horton's (!); parking; friendly reception. Swimming pool was nice to have but needs some work. Good grassy area with bbq and two tables - very handy for picnics. Friendly as easy to chat to other guests.
The cabin was perfect. 2 rooms. 2 doubles in each room. A bathroom with shower in each room. Equipped kitchen so we could cook our breakfast before we headed out each day. The location was excellent. We travelled all over the island so this was a really good home base. The staff was super. Anything you needed or wanted, they were very quick to supply. Definitely recommend it and will stay here again on our next trip to PEI.
Thank you MEMOTREE resort.
The staff were very friendly but the facility is rotting bad. In serious need or work. Govt should support the tourist industry to upgrade the cottages and motels along cavendish. Hasn’t been anything done to these places since they were put there unless it completely malfunctions. Facility was definitely not worth the military net but staff were ever so friendly and accommodating.
The room was clean and tidy when we arrived and staff were friendly. There is a small playground for kids to plat. The location was very good where there are a lot of amusing facilities near the motel such as Shining Water Family Fund Park, a fantastic beach area, and Sandspit Amusement Park. The motel provides you with a pass that you can go to the PEI National Park for free.
The cabin we were in was a one bedroom, with a kitchen and bathroom.Very comfortable for a couple.Being out all day and coming back in the evening to a nice quiet area is a plus for us. Also Cavendish beach is only a short drive. There is also no shortage of restaurants in this area. Will certainly be back again.
Communication with the owners was very straightforward and easy. The cottage was very clean and had all the essentials. The site was very quiet at night. Although the location was somewhat isolated, it was easy to find and only a short drive to North Rustico and Cavendish.
We loved the location - so close to the coast and dune trails, but far enough from the touristic part of Cavendish.
Our room was simple but comfortable and functional.
No complaints :)
A super location close to the Anne of Green Gables Heritage Centre and Cavendish Beach. Very helpful staff, excellent wi fi in our cottage and fresh towels daily.
Right next door to Green Gables Heritage site.
Clean, basic hotel with outdoor pool.
Park right outside your room.
play structure for kids and public bbqs.
