In Zurich, I took a city tour, visited the Lindt chocolate factory, Old Town, Lindenholf Hill, Boat ride on Lake Zurich. All these can be done in a day. Rest were day trips to Interlaken, Grindelwald, Zug, Einseldeln, Heididorf, Vaduz, Rhine Falls, Stein am Rhien. It is very easy to get around Zurich with the well connected network of Trams and Trains.

The shops, restaurants were great especially where we stayed in the old district. Light rail and trains to Zurich make it very easy to get around even for people who enjoy walking. We visited the National Museum and enjoyed it. It was not overwhelming or too large to explore. We did not have time to check out anything else in the guidebook and I am sure there is more to see. Very good breakfast buffet (= good selection and well stocked). Choice of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. There is a lift, and a beautiful courtyard garden!! No aircon, but a fan was provided in my room. I would definitely stay here again!

What we liked about Meininger Zürich versus other Meininger hotesl: check in and out was smooth, parking area has direct access to the hotel, parking spaces are wide (we really liked it because we brought a 7-seater).
