A good mix of old and modern.
Slightly expensive than other cities but the quality of products/food/drinks etc makes it worth it
Lots of restaurants and bars but not a lot of "activities" to keep yourself occupied with day to day.

The shops, restaurants were great especially where we stayed in the old district. Light rail and trains to Zurich make it very easy to get around even for people who enjoy walking. We visited the National Museum and enjoyed it. It was not overwhelming or too large to explore. We did not have time to check out anything else in the guidebook and I am sure there is more to see. One museum we wanted to visit had closed.

Great walks around town, plenty of restaurants in Neiderdorf district near where we were staying, trams to everywhere just watch out for them as they do not give way, art galleries were wonderful. You have to remember it is another city so more overwhelming than the countryside villages.

My first time in Switzerland.
My first time in Switzerland. Zürich is a clean modern city with lots of classic architecture. Very walkable with many charming cafes and bars. Also a very convenient and easy to use local bus and light rail system
Small and friendly hotel in a great location in a residential area of Zürich.
Tram stop 50 metres away with a choice of 2 trams to the city centre. Easy to reach the railway station, old town, and the lake.
Quiet room, well equipped, with a comfy bed and modern shower room.
Very good breakfast buffet (= good selection and well stocked).
Choice of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
There is a lift, and a beautiful courtyard garden!!
No aircon, but a fan was provided in my room.
I would definitely stay here again!
Hotel Landhus came out to be a Great Suprise for us on our 1st day in Zurich. Maria was a Great Help !!.
Hotel has good rooms with balcony and wifi .
Breakfast is good for both veg & Non Veg .
She made a Great Effort when we Requested for a Vegetarian Breakfast .
Bus stand & Tram pickup point is just 1 min away from Hotel. From Airport 768 bus drops you right next to Hotel. Nearby Restaurants like City Point are open till 1 am.
We Really Liked this place .
Everything in Switzerland is expensive. This is the cheapest I could find without sacrificing comfort and experience. We've stayed in quite a few Meininger hotels in other European cities, this is by far the best. What we liked about Meininger Zürich versus other Meininger hotesl: check in and out was smooth, parking area has direct access to the hotel, parking spaces are wide (we really liked it because we brought a 7-seater).
The hotel is located on the top of a mountain or you call it a hill. We called the hotel to pick up our heavy luggage from the bus station, which is a right decision. The hotel has a best view of Zurich city. The view itself worth your money. We have breakfast included. The breakfast is the best - coffee, tea, bread, cheese, eggs, bacon, fruits, yogurt, milk, ham - everything you could imagine. The staff is very friendly.
Very good location - walking distance to metro (1 min), tram(1 min), main station(10 min), old town(10 minutes)
Glad we received earlier check in as we request in our reservation.
The lady from the reception was so kind and explanatory!
They booked us a trip for the same day we checked in!
Make sure you book a "large room", as others are too small in my opinion.
One of the best price options in Zurich downtown.
So I booked a twin bed and they gave me a much larger bed than expected! The pillows and mattress were exceptionally comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. It is perfectly situated close to bars and the old town, but i heard no noise at night that you usually hear when staying in hotels in similar locations. Best night sleep i've had in a long time, I'd definitely stay here again when i come back to Zurich
7 minute walk from Zurich Train Station. Quiet hotel off main street. Room and bathroom/shower large for Switzerland. All computer screen driven check in /out and room key assignment. First hotel I have stayed in without any contact with staff. Didn't see anyone at breakfast either, but food was already laid out. Good value if you just want to spend a few days in Zurich close to train station and downtown.
Excellent location right next to Zurich station - we arrived very late from the airport and left on an early train, and it was a perfect hotel for that. The staff were very smiley, nice and welcoming. The room was nice and the bed comfortable (except for the pillows) and it was good value. I would say it was exactly as expected given what we were paying - no frills but perfectly decent.
The hotel is in a walking distance from Zurich Oerlikon Banhof, very easy to find. Only one stop from the airport or to Zurich city center. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is well equipped, nice & clean. We also got an upgrade to the better room upon our arrival. So nice!! The breakfast is also awesome with variety of selection. Really recommended to stay in this hotel.
You cannot beat the location of this hotel for a visit to Zurich. You are a very short walk to the train station and all other modes of transportation. All of the city center is a 15 min walk or less. You can walk out the door of the hotel and you are 50 feet from the main shopping street or a 5 minute walk to the river. The room was clean and perfect size for a few days in Zurich.
We always stay at this hotel when in Zürich. If you are traveling by train in Switzerland this is the closest hotel to the train station. A 3 minute walk to the stations. Management is fantastic. The facility is immaculate and beds are very comfortable. Quiet area at night. Break fast are a great value and even has hot scambled eggs.
Hotel receptionist was very helpful and hospitable, he tried his best to get me an early check-in room and he did. Also, the kitchen had all the basics you would need to do a warm meal. Finally, the location was perfect near to Zurich main train station and also city old city center.
nice staff trying to help via whatsapp.
closest hotel / guest house to the train station...1 min walk.
cheapest in central Zurich probably.
modern, clean, practical, comfy from the inside.
good value considering how expensive Zurich is. In another country i would say otherwise.
The hotel is located centrally. Very close to the airport, train station and to most tourist attractions.
The staff are very professional, offering suggestions and help.
Just spent 1 night at this hotel, but would definitely recommend if in Zurich.
The hotel was in a very good location, with tram station very close. 5 min from the center of Zurich and 15-20 from the airport.
We also had the choice to choose a different type of pillows.
Breakfast was okay.
This is a truly great hotel. Best location in the old town. Convenient to the trams and railway station. And for those wanting to exercise, they have arranged access to the best gyms in Zurich (albeit a walk).
The hotel is located right by the number 10 tram which goes directly to Zurich airport and the main train station. It’s on a quiet street. The staff are really amazing, kind, friendly, and hardworking.
Clean functional hotel in a great location for access to railway and airport. Plenty restaurants also nearby and close to the old town which is very nice. All staff were very nice and helpful.
First time on Zurich me and my wife, glad we choose Ruby as our hotel. Best location, staff, rooms, the shower is amazing, everything was great and clean!
