Breakfast was a highlight! But the air conditioner was broken, they did not get it fixed, they would not refund us anything for being uncomfortable all night…it was very hot! Had to get up n shower at 3 am… very frustrating! But it’s a very nice hotel other than that! Not enough car parking spaces available in the garage either!

We had a great stay at Melter hotel, the rooms (apartments really) were spacious and comfortable, fully equipped and very stylish. The rooms and facilities were also very clean. The staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast was also very good (and the Asian restaurant hosting it was also great, deserves a try!). Located right next to St Lorenz temple, near the center of the old town of Nuremberg.

FAQs about hotels in Nuremberg

A Grimm Fairytale

Although known for the Nuremberg Trials, this Bavarian city has a stunning medieval core of cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings that wouldn’t look out of place in a fairy tale. Sitting above this is the castle, one of the most important in the Holy Roman Empire. Take the steep walk up here for fantastic old town views.

Hauptmarkt square in the old town is home to an unusual-looking church and a Gothic fountain, spectacularly lit during the annual Nuremberg Christmas markets. Selling everything from wooden toys to lebkuchen (gingerbread), these are widely considered the best Christmas markets in Germany.

Other attractions in Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German) include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the country’s largest museum of culture and art. Another highlight is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, a medieval hospital by the Pegnitz River.

A word must also be said about its relationship with Nazism. On the south-east corner are the immense Nazi Rally Grounds and Party Congress Hall, built in appropriately domineering fashion. The excellent Documentation Center here is a sensitive and unbiased portrayal of life under Hitler. It is also possible to visit the courtroom where the war trials were held.

Before leaving your Booking.com apartment, hotel or hostel to go to Nuremberg Airport, don’t forget to try the spicy local sausage!

    I think Nuremberg is underrated.

I think Nuremberg is underrated. It is a very nice city with a lot of historic places to see, for example the Beer-caves which have been subject to WW2 use and mis-use. We did a tour and it was very educating, not knowing that Nuremberg was the second worst damaged city in Germany during WW2.

The management of the N9-Nürnberg Hotel was offended that I accused them of fraud! On 08.04.2025 I booked a room for 3 nights, period 17-20.07.2025 with the possibility of canceling the reservation for free during a certain period. The facilities read: private bathroom, free WiFi included, parking, flat-screen TV, family room, non-smoking rooms, 2 restaurants, shower, covered parking, luggage room. I was notified of the additional payment of €20/day exactly on the check-in date 17.07.2025 when I could no longer cancel the reservation without losing all the money! I work for those €60+ and if I knew about them, I would cancel the reservation. Booking.com ordered me to delete the review! Why?

Nuremberg Old Town is a charming place with its historical atmosphere and medieval architecture. The Kaiserburg Castle, Albrecht Dürer’s House, the Toy Museum, and the colorful Weißgerbergasse are must-sees. The city is also known for its small, spiced Nürnberger sausages and famous Lebkuchen cookies. The stone bridges along the river and cobblestone streets make for a lovely walk.

It is a very beautiful large town full of old, traditional, often timber framed buildings and wonderful churches which are all in great condition. The whole centre is pedestrianised which is fantastic. The river Pegnitz, which runs through the town, and its green river banks and old bridges and buildings, adds to the relaxing and wonderful feel of the town. There is so much to see and to do. So much art too. The town is well cared for and loved. All the people, we spoke to, were very friendly and nice. We will certainly visit again.

The hotel is just across the street from the train station in the old town. We used Nuremberg as the base to several small romantic road towns. It was extremely convenient for us to be near the train station. Hotel Victoria offers the most luxurious breakfast. Coffee is served in a silver pot with hot milk on the side. Eggs are cooked to your individual order. I highly recommend hotel Victoria to anyone visiting Nuremberg.

I stayed one night with my son during our travel to Berlin; very good hotel, that during the weekend applies the usual high standard for business travelleres to families; nice and modern structure in the city centre of Nurnberg, with garage; very nice staff and very good breakfast; the price is a little high but the standard of the hotel and its services justifies it.
