I really enjoyed Berlin. The area where I stayed was clean, calm, and quiet, which I appreciate a lot. Like in many big cities, I did notice some people struggling on the streets, which can be surprising if you’re not used to it, but overall I had a very positive experience. Berlin has some great historical sites.
Berlin has some great historical sites. The transport system is easy and efficient, however the area around alexanderplatz, Neptune statue and the tv tower is dirty and full of homeless, drunks, illegals and gypsies. So much to see and do with a visit to Berlin.
So much to see and do with a visit to Berlin. I would recommend the TV Tower, the Reichstag tour (prebook), go to the top of the Victory Tower, walk in the Tiergarten, see the Brandenburg Gate and the Jewish memorial, walk along Unter den Linden and also walk along the river. See East Side Gallery and the Wall Museum, visit Bernauer Strasse too. Berlin is my favourite city.
Berlin is my favourite city. It reminds me of London 20/30 years ago before it got too expensive and corporate. So much to do, sights, museums, random abandoned areas to find, art, culture, food, drink, the transport is ridiculously good...it's all there. Just the best. Get there already. And book a bit longer and go to the different parts of the city too...not just checkpoint charlie and alexanderplatz! My recommendations are leafy Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg and Potsdam (yes I know, not Berlin, but you can get there on a travelcard)Guest review byEdUnited Kingdom
