Located close to the train station and about a 10 minute ride to main attractions and central downtown. Also surrounded by many restaurants, while still being a relatively quiet area. Room was small, but clean and comfortable and quiet. Front desk staff was really friendly and helpful.

I love the staff. Had some interesting conversations with some of them; they were cool, interesting, friendly people. They leave some coffee out in the afternoon for everyone which I appreciated. The hotel overall isn’t anything special and maybe a little overpriced for what it is but I like it because of the staff.

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.

What an exciting (and safe) city to visit with some of the friendliest people I have met. And surprisingly not overpriced unless eating in the obviously tourist restaurants. Added bonus of glorious sunshine! A wonderful place to explore with history on every corner.

Munich has so much to see
Munich has so much to see
Castles and art galleries and lots of open green spaces
City centre had great shops and lots of nice places to eat either for lunch or dinner. Lots of places in the shade to sit and surprisingly most of the fountains had drinkable water so easy to top up which avoided buying more and using single use plastic so well done to them!
Good selection of food shops if you prefer to cook your own
Very easy to get around via S or U Bahn. Trams, buses and underground all had vehicles regularly so not much waiting. All very clean.
Unlike Paris underground Municc had all escalators as well as stairs so good for folks with mobility issues.
Very easy to visit Salzburg for the day....beautiful trip through the countryside
Bit of a bonus is that on a Sunday the art galleries only cost E1 to get in so great to make use of that.
Airport is huge however and takes ages to get around....I will not be rude and say how long we were delayed in the baggage hall!
Overall I would highly recommend a visit but make it for a week not a weekend.

Drinkers rejoice!
Drinkers rejoice! Munich nightlife delivered big time during our stay. We stumbled upon an outdoor rave/dance party during our stay which we loved! Plenty of different options for your night out. Great transit infrastructure, and city lay out.
Definitely visit Hirschgarten (priority #1) and Hofbräuhaus!

There is a great deal of history and culture and art and beauty to appreciate in Munich. All of my visits were short immersions, each could have taken half a day or more. In a short trip, I stayed with many of the iconic places - Alte and Modern Pinakoethek, Haus der Kunst, English Garden, Residence, Frauenkirche, Viktualenmarkt, Marienplatz. Evenings were perfect for visits to Hofbrauhaus and AugustinKeller - more time and I'd have explored smaller more modern venues.

Munich is a very pretty town, full of charm, and offers a lot for every taste. Culture, food, relaxation, quality of life, you name it. They call it Germany's most Italian town, it is like a smile, and it is very safe, you can stroll through town night and day. There is a reason why many people have moved to Munich from all over Germany, you hear it in the accents spoken.

Munich is a wonderful revelation: clean, green, friendly, biking, walking city with a wide choice of places to eat and explore, without being overwhelming.
Try going up near the University sector for fun cafes, bookshops, independent clothing stores. The city has two fantastic sports and clothing shops: one has a canoe lake at the bottom, the other a large climbing wall - floors and floors of great gear.
Some of the best coffee I've ever tasted.
Quiet neighbourhoods of locals/cafes/coffee spots if you hunt for them. Marienplatz - turn up for the quick photo's and disappear - too busy like most cities. The market is excellent, nice produce and locals shopping there, not a tourist offering. Biergardens galore and the English Garden park which is amazing (probably best on a bike to appreciate it's vastness).
Everything was amazing! The location is very convenient, just in front of a tram stop that takes you straight to the city centre in 15 minutes. The staff at the hotel is very friendly, and the room was super spacious with an amazing view of Munich. The room was super clean, huge windows and the toilet even had heated floors!
Although a way from City centre, transport literally over the road meant a €9 ticket allows as much travel as you wish. Straight to the centre in about 15 mins without the hassle / cost of staying in a centre hotel. Modern, clean, air-con and underground parking. Would definitely use again for Munich.
Excellent location and very quiet yet central to everything I wanted in the city centre. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. I loved the quirkiness of the room, although the single beds are narrow and took a bit of getting used to. I'll stay here again when I return to Munich.
An old-fashioned hotel in the positive sense of the word: friendly reception, small but quiet and clean rooms, comfy beds, good breakfast buffet and decent coffee, easy public transport to city centre, parking available. Good value for money in Munich.
