FAQs about hotels in Valencia

A Walk Through History

As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Don't miss out on sipping fresh, local orange juice or enjoying tasty tapas in a sidewalk café.

Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.

The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.

Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75,000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.

As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city center hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also has guesthouses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.

Valencia is a beautiful city with stunning views, history restaurants and bars. I felt completely safe walking travelling alone and staying for four days. People are very helpful. Beautiful shops, food markets, cathedrals. Very short taxi ride from airport which cost no more then 25 euros. Small markets selling everything you could wish to buy. Food market is stunning to walk around and taste local food, spices and fruit. If I could I would move here...

We are a family of 3 (by the time we visited Valencia our son was 7 almost 8). We had also two days of heavy rain so looked for alternatives inside. We choose a accommodation close to the beach but not far from the center to have both sightseeing and beach days. Best decision every. Sandy beaches with kids can be messy and we needed to be close to the apt. We stayed 6.5 days. * first day was an accommodation day and plan adjustment day. * Second day was Bio Park (a wild park in the city). A great moment for kids to see animals and hang out. Second part was a relax at a terrace or even beach time. * the third and forth we went to the oceanografic and science city both very interesting for kids and parents in both cases we relaxed in the accommodation or grabbed a bite in the area. * fifth / sixth day was a full beach day and relaxing days while the remaining time until our flight in the night was roaming around the Mercada in the center and buying souvenirs. As a family we can really recommend Valencia. It has a specific charm about it with vibrant colours and interesting architecture. Totally enjoyed it.

We loved the old town, the town hall, the central market and the Cathedral. Also the Church of St. Nicholas was fantastic. We had 2 days in the city of arts and sciences, to see the museum of sciences and the oceanografic. We could definitely have spent more time in both than we had available.

A beautiful City, full of culture, superb architecture and fine cuisine. You never have to walk far to find a high quality restaurant. None of the establishments we frequented were more than a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. I’d particularly recommend Dodo, Puerto del Mar, Espurnes and Secret.

It’s a lovely city, architecture stunning. Enjoyed the hop on hop off city bus tour. Had to walk a fair distance through run down areas before we got to the better part of the old town. Didn’t have time to visit the aquarium - a must for our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel a lot. This is a hotel which truly deserves the name ‘boutique hotel’. Very nice interior, small but very nice, staff is very friendly and extremely engaged and committed to make our stay very special. The breakfast was really nice, food very good and the orange juice phenomenal. We also had dinner there once and also enjoyed the food and the cocktails. If we come back to Valencia, we would stay again here. Location is great in the middle of old town.

Hotel Kramer thought of everything including a toothbrush. They had an on-site restaurant and the best breakfast we’ve had in Spain. The staff were friendly, and met requests within seconds including printing train tickets, and arranging an early morning cab. The staff spoke excellent English which was welcome( 3 months of Duo Lingo has its limits). The location was within walking distance of the Old City and all the sights we wanted to see

We booked two nights but at separate times, I had not realised the 2nd night would be a shared bathroom, I had not read it correctly, the hotel was fully booked so nothing to be done, however on re checking in for our 2nd night the very lovely owner had managed to sort out a room with a bathroom for us, this really made our day. Can't thank him enough, the hotel.is budget and basic but it's also cheap for the location , would stay again

Just a great hotel with cheap parking, one or 2 good cheap eating places very close, superb soundproofing to the street and kind staff. I would only suggest a blanket in the cupboard in case you feel cold (saves on putting the airon on all night!) I appreciate the eco gesture of only cleaning towels every 3 days but that blanket would also save on electricity.

Parking location was accessible directly from the Hotel and provided a secure garage for our car. Not cheap, but worth it. Terrace rooftop bar was a great getaway spot in the evening and the limited menu was surprisingly good. The breakfast buffet is impressive but pricey if you only lean towards a small, continental type of breakfast like we do.
