Cadaqués is a Spanish harbour town in north Catalonia on the beautiful Costa Brava, about a 2-hour drive from Barcelona. The white of the houses and the blue of the sky inspired many famous artists like Matisse, Picasso and Max Ernst, who decided to live there for a period of their life.
Featuring traditional Mediterranean architecture with narrow streets, a sophisticated atmosphere and a paradise bay with small fishing boats, the medieval town of Cadaqués is home to important churches and museums.
The world-renown surrealist painter Salvador Dali lived in Port Lligat, in a former fisherman's house with his everlasting love Gala. Today the house of Salvador Dali is open to the public and you can visit the artist’s atelier, the library and the garden.
Travellers should not miss the national park of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of mainland Catalonia with a historic lighthouse built in 1853. This unique place is perfect for hiking or boat excursions.
The promenade area of Cadaqués has many local restaurants serving Catalan specialities. Booking.com will help you find a hotel, guest house or resort in the heart of this picturesque town and the nearby cities of Roses, Empúriabrava and Sant Pere Pescador.

It has some exquisite bays for swimming as well as exceptional scenery. everything is walking distance including the Salvador Dali home. If you like biking or trekking it is also a very good choice. Do not miss Cap de Creus natural reserve, where you can even have lunch or dinner. The food is always exceptional in Cadaques

Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem.
Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem. Most visitors have driven from neighbouring France or other parts of Spain, not many Brits abroad! It's a bustling and very family friendly town. Plenty of places to eat and drink and you can spend your days on the beach, doing watersports, visiting Dali's House, or at your hotel pool. Walking along the harbour at night is beautiful.

Cristall waters, small beach, good restaurant, nice shops, amazing bar. I Love Cadaques surrounded by beautiful nature reserves .
The best way to enjoy the sea is to rent a boat

Cadeques is a very quaint little village with lots of lovely cafes, eateries and bars. Their is lots to see and a lot of shops (if you like shopping?).
Not a place for high heals due to steep hills and uneven pavements but the place is full of people that like to promenade!. Very very busy place, lots of day trippers. All the beaches are small and rocky. A coastal walk is recommended to find a rare sandy (ish) beach. Picturesque and well worth a visit. Tourists predominately French

Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others.
Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others. Had a great trip round the bay on an old wooden sailing boat. Went to the Dali museum (booking advised) unbelievably amazing house. Also went to a butterfly farm which had many parrots.

Cadaques is a lovely seaside town in a beautiful location.
Cadaques is a lovely seaside town in a beautiful location. It has lots of good restaurants and interesting independent shops, galleries and Dali's summer house nearby.
There are opportunities for activities on the water and boat trips.
This hotel is perfectly situated in Cadaques. You can walk everywhere. There is a lovely little beach in front of the hotel and great dining options within steps. We loved our balcony room, a great view of the harbor and town all day and night. Despite being on the main road, the room is quiet and relaxing. The pool area is also really nice.
My husband and I loved our stay and will be back again and again.
The parking garage is great, but small even for Europe.
The location and the ease to get to the hub of Cadaques. I can’t believe this is only rated as a 1 star hotel. I found reception and housekeeping friendly and helpful. As a basic accommodation, it certainly fit all of my requirements. Close to bus station too! Do be advised that this accommodation will be challenging for folks with mobility issues as stated in the description.
This is a fabulous boutique and we would highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and recommended exceptional places for lunch and dinner. They were out of this world! We initially booked the brand new hotel (Boutique Hotel Salvador) - but so happy we got to experience Villa Gala. We will definitely come back. Cadaques is simply gorgeous. Thank you for a wonderful few days.
THe Hotel is gorgeous, with a beautiful view of the town center of Cadaques, the rooms are very stylish and spacious. The staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast is very good and the food at the hotel restaurant is also very good. The Hotel Private parking is a great feature. Highly recommended. The walk to the town center is also very short and nice
Love the place and location!
More than a hotel, it's a beautiful house at the seafront right in the heart of Cadaqués that allows you to experience the place like a local.
It has just been nicely and carefully renovated and it's very cozy and comfortable. The views are amazing.
Love the café-restaurant downstairs, it has a great atmosphere.
This is such a little gem of a hotel. Close enough to walk into Cadaques but the bay and surrounding area of the hotel are also charming. The hotel itself is exceptionally comfortable and clean I gather many of the staff have been there for many years which is always a good sign. Great tapas and breakfast choices. Thank you for a lovely stay
The view is to die for! This a family run hotel and everyone was kind and generous to us. The walk to town is a good way to stretch your legs and the neighborhood is safe and picturesque. We can sincerely say our expectations were blown away and we were so glad we decided to stay here for three nights.
The location was superb and unbeatable if you want to experience Salvador Dalí's home and neighbourhood. Although the hotel doesn't have all the amenities of a modern hotel, this place has tons of charm from a lost era. If you can look beyond the modern-day comforts, you'll have the time of your life.
Hotel is superb.. location excellent and ambience really great
It is full of Dali memorabilia and has a homely feeling
The breakfast was delicious and beyond expectations
This hotel is highly commendable and highly recommended
Location was central. Parking discount if you pay at the hotel (15€ per day). Breakfast was good. No refrigerator in the room but they good give you glass with ice or cup with hot water. Supermarket across the hotel.
Stunning location near coastal trails, spotless hotel, big comfortable room with great view and mini-fridge, large breakfast with z nice variety of offerings in a lovely setting, very quiet, friendly helpful staff.
Gina and Alex welcomed me to a home, not an hotel. They give added meaning to personal touch. And their doggie! Love at first "da me tu mano....give me your paw! It was all a grand slam home run.
everything. location. tons of natural light. sea view. exceptionally friendly staff. super cheerful ambience in the most beautiful town of Cadaques. great value.
