It's a lovely area and I have been here many times but at the moment (May 2024) there is construction everywhere. So many roads being done up, shops being renovated etc. It will probably be lovely when it's finished but until it is, it's not very nice to walk around there.LyndaSpain - 10Scored 10
Post covid La Cala is quite expensive.
Post covid La Cala is quite expensive. If you are looking for a good meal for a good price, it is worth taking a trip to La Cala Hills. That said we enjoyed our trip and love to see how the village is developing and changing. A charming town close to the airport, only 30 minutes away. Beautiful beach, restaurants and shops by the beach. we enjoyed the walking and cycling path along the beach. People are very friendly, smiling and helpful. In May, the temperature was perfect, we returned home, very tanned and saturated with sunlight. A very good point to visit Andalusia, I recommend Ronda and Calminito del Rey ♥️ We must come back here, there are many places to see!Nadia Kuczynska - 10Scored 10

A lovely coastal working town with a large choice of excellent restaurants, coffee shops and bars. There is a market every Wednesday and Saturday and small stalls in the town during high season. We enjoy long walks along the boardwalk which has numerous places to stop for refreshments and admire beautiful beaches and sea views. Easy access to bus routes to Marbella or Fuengirola. Great facilities for all ages.

Mijas is so beautiful. The beach is lovely the restaurants are lovely and the outside bars are lovely too. We ate at El Olivo and that was a fantastic restaurant. We also ate at Johnny’s and the food and service was so good. There is also a little cafe near the hotel called Sensi Pino Cafe and the tapas were only 2.50 euros for a small plate and the wine was 3 euros. This was a fabulous find but shuts at 4pm. Fantastic value and excellent service. We will definitely be returningSheilaUnited Kingdom

The hotel is cleaned every day to an impeccable standard. Pablo, Sylvia and all the spa staff are fantastic. So welcoming. The spa is such a lovely bonus. The hotel rates for the golf are excellent. The food is phenomenal, especially at the tapas bar. The pool is really nice. The golf course is challenging but good.
