Location was great, in a small hamlet with the restaurant above. Restaurant was closed when we got there, but we were able to walk right down the street to another place for dinner. Gorgeous views of the sunset. Room was clean and tidy, good deal for the price.

I have been here several times. It's a great place for a winter escape. Once you've got the boat over from Tenerife, you get round the island by bus, taxi or boat, and it's away from the crowds. Good place to go if you like hiking, and just as good if you prefer to potter about. You're never that far from the beach. Mountains behind you and the sea in front of you. Watching the sunset each evening over the sea is a "thing". Good places to eat and drink. Love it here.

It's a lovely peaceful, chilled out little town.
It's a lovely peaceful, chilled out little town. Lovely beach and has a super arty, hippy vibe. A few great little shops but nothing too commercialised. I only stayed 1 night but 3 or 4 in good weather would have been lovely too. You can walk around the whole place.
There are buses serving the town from Vallehermoso and San Sebastian and the airport. They are very cheap and reliable.

Mountain and sea, very green, very good food (I recommend El Puerto restaurant). I had heard good things about this place, but the reality exceeded my expectations

Stunning views of mountains, sea views and views of the other canary islands. Good selection of beaches. Good choice of bars and restaurants, some music and entertainment in local venues. A few buses a day to get to the trails and back to San Sebastian. Difficult to work out the bus times at the stops in-between. (I would have liked more information on how the buses link up to trails and information on local moderate walks for newbie walkers who are not very confident!) but the views from the trails are awesome! If i came again i would sign up to some organised walks. But for experienced and confident hikers the trails are very clearly marked.

Valle Gran Rey on the island of La Gomera is a wonderful destination. It is not a crowded or over developed resort. There are some spectacular, if challenging, walks with amazing views. The climate is good in the Winter although the wind can be strong at times. There is a protected bay suitable for swimming when the Atlantic waves are too high elsewhere and a really lovely safe 'Baby Beach' suitable for young children. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants. Valle Gran Rey is a little difficult to get to (flight to Tenerife, fast ferry to San Sebastian and then either a bus or hire car over the mountains or second ferry along the coast, but that keeps it nice and quiet! This was my twelfth visit to the island and people do return year after year.

Valle Gran Rey is a beautiful area with beaches, safe swimming areas, good restaurants & cafes. Boat trips are available from the harbour @ Vueltas. A lovely long promenade passing through all the areas which make up Valle Gran Rey's coastal areas.
We arrived early and were able to leave our bags to walk around the town, apartment keys were available a little earlier than the receptionist had first said which was good.
Spacious apartment in lower floor with a balcony looking out to one side of the beach.
Good shower, twin beds together were large and plenty of room in wardrobe .
Two tables, we had our meals with balcony doors slightly open , it was February so cool after 5pm
Pool was fresh ! (Cold) but clean.
The hotel is at a great location. There are a lot of bars and restaurants that can be reached by foot. Also a supermarket is very close.
Playa del Ingles a beautiful natural beach with black sand is only a 10 minute walk away.
The rooms are very big. We have been positively surprised that their was a little kitchen in the room.
We also need to point out that the and staff at the hotel was very friendly.
Good location in the heart of Las Hayas. I was walking the GR-131 across La Gomera and this accommodation broke the walk up nicely for me.
The room was comfortable with a full bathroom - not sure why Booking.com suggested I upgrade to a bigger room with a toilet as I had one in my own room?
The restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices.
Good value for money. Good location, Amazing views from the sea view apartment. Swimming pool. Relaxed environment. Bus stop outside. 15 minute walk from the ferry port. handy location to visit the beach and bars at either end of Valle Gran Rey. Interesting freestyle drumming and fire show on the beach in the evenings.
Great location very close to the Garajonay National Park. The place is very easy to find, with convenient parking. Within the same building there is a restaurant with great local food. Rooms are basic, but you have everything you need. Perfect place for a weekend in La Gomera. Ideal starting point for hiking.
Very comfortable, spacious, clean, well-equipped place in a beautiful environment, convenient to the beach and the mountains (assuming you have a car), excellent host. the master bedroom and bed are particularly comfortable

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the world. Really good value for money, has pretty much all you need. Very convenient be located with shops and restaurants, the beach down the road
Lovely people running this well maintained residencial complex. Spacious apartment, rather big swimming pool, wifi was solid. Number of good restaurants in the vicinity.
Very good quiet location in beautiful Valle Gran Rey, with a wonderful view from the terrace. Not too far from nice restaurants. Celia was extremely helpful.
Beautiful, well designed, fresh spaces and beautifully planted communal areas, peaceful and tranquil, probably one of the nicest places to stay in La Gomera.
Location was perfect for sunsets and mountain views. Breakfasts and dinners were good. The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly
and professional.
