Incredible staff who went above and beyond to help when I was ill from a stomach bug, from an early check in (0830) to providing a complimentary breakfast for the friend I was travelling with so that I could rest and recover in the room alone. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the block out blinds were a great feature.

Our suite was amazing and had pool and ocean views (Room 220- request it, you won’t regret it) and it was steps from the pool bar and restaurant. It was spacious, updated, clean and the beds were decent. It was also nice to have a separate sitting room with couch and tv for times when you wanted to be out of the sun.

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.
There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.
A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.
Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.
Overall, Playa Blanca isn’t somewhere I’d choose again. It has a lot of themed bars, and I didn’t find any good restaurants. The two beaches are small and crowded with sunbeds. The place feels over-developed and there’s a lot more on the way. Playa del Papagayo beaches are lovely, and quiet. It’s worth the 13km walk there and back. There’s one small restaurant perched high above the sea-a fab location. I recommend hiring a car as there’s a lot to see on Lanzarote.

We stayed a fair distance from the centre of Play Blanca and therefore did not go into the centre at night. The Marina area is full of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. There is "bar" entertainment in many of these restaurants and cocktail bars so it is a very lively place. The one thing I detest in restaurants is when the waiter points out that the cost of the meal "does not include tips". I would normally tip about 10% but leave nothing if a tip is asked for! Playa Blanca during the day is like most Spanish resorts with the usual tourist tat available to buy. I would be cautious however, in buying from some of the electrical and camera shops, having had a previous bad experience with one in particular.

Great place, long promenade along the coast.
Great place, long promenade along the coast. Montana Roja is a good walk/climb and great views. Good choice of restaurants in the main town. Bus to and from the airport (161) is cheap and frequent, takes about 1 hour. Bodega Colonial, pork cheek!!, Sergio Aubergine dish was lovely, great restaurants in PB central. Beaches are clean 😁
Lovely apartment within the Hotel Flamingo complex, very clean, had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay, beautiful view from the balcony and easy access to all that Playa Blanca had to offer. Maria the host was wonderful, gave excellent information on places to eat etc and was easily contactable if needed.
The apartment was very close to the hotel play pools which could be a little noisy during the day but this really didn’t detract from a lovely stay.
There are a lot of pools in the territory, attractions for children, gyms for adults, a supermarket, football court. The pool for children was heated. All in all good quality all-inclusive hotel (but it is possible to have a room without food which is also a good option as you can drive to Playa Blanca to dine in a huge variety of restaurants). Good location - you can go sightseeing in the north of the island on the same day as the island is not big by itself.
This hotel is just gorgeous! Fantastic facilities, rooms are lovely and spacious and clean, staff couldn’t do enough for us. We are a family of 5, with three teeenagers aged 18, 16 and 14 and we all
loved the hotel. Walking distance to the centre of Playa Blanca and close to a lovely beach. Also lots to do for families with younger children so a hotel for all ages. We had bed and breakfast and the food was fantastic every morning.
Fabulous location on sea front between Marina Rubicon and town of Playa Blanca. Modern stylish hotel. All staff were lovely. Great facilities. I was worried would be too big a hotel but split up into different restaurants etc. Also given a half arrival hour slot for evening meal which made things run smoother. Food was a good standard and lovely buffet restaurant design with indoor and outdoor. Would definitely come back.
Perfect location next to the marina, restaurants, shops. Lovely walk along the seaside promenade into the old town area. Clean, quiet and relaxed. I believe the hotel was full, but you would never have known. Plenty of loungers for enjoying the pristine pool area. Our balcony faced onto the pool. Gorgeous at night. Delighted with the coffee maker. Kitchen well-stocked.
Fantastic location right by the sea and the promenade into Playa Blanca. Beautiful gardens and very quiet. Simple but comfortable apartment which had everything we needed e.g kettle, fridge. Hotel has useful touches such as an in house laundry which only costs 5 euros and a facility to fill our water bottles
This was our third visit and we hope to return again soon
Beautiful pools especially in preferred club areas .Hotel was spotless.
Really nice breakfast with plenty of choices and a chef for fresh omelette, bacon & poached eggs .
Staff overall very friendly and helpful .
Location great for views ,walking and access to the marina and playa Blanca.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is spread over a large area so generally doesn't feel too crowded. Adults only area was quiet. Room was spacious and clean. Location was quiet, approx 30 minute walk along the coast into Playa Blanca
location was great right on the marina.. restaurants all within 5 minutes away and a good choice of food. a 15 minute stroll along the promenade took you to the beach.. Playa Blanca town is walkable takes about 25 minutes from hotel or a taxi ride is about 10 minute.
Food was delicious. Show cooking with amazing chefs.
Staff friendly & clearly like their jobs.
Beautiful pool area. Short walk to a beautiful beach playa flamingo. Playa Blanca was great resort with lovely walks along from both marinas. Can't wait to return..
Was great location for us was quiet but not to far from everything. Only 10mins walk into playa blanca. Plenty of parking roundabout hotel. Lovely views from balcony. Nice restaurants nearby and supermarkets. All-round a great location and hotel.
Location is perfect for Playa Blanca being able to reach many places like restaurants in 10 minutes and the beach in 3 minutes. Cleanness of the house and very spacious. Carlos the host is extremely kind and helpfull.
Everything about the hotel. We have been a regular visitor to Playa Blanca for years. It was the first time we stayed in this hotel. We will definitely be returning.
