We didn't stay at the hotel, I messaged booking.com to say that the hotel was closed, very run down and eventually phoned the hotel to be told that the kitchen wasn't open and would we mind going going to another hotel (rio escabas) we didn't really have a choice.

A family run place in the middle of La Mancha. Super friendly and helpful staff. country hotel. Nothing posh, just lovely, as is the restaurant. Don't expect Michelin food and you'll be very happy. The main thing is the almost maternal care you sense. Great country hotel !
