Overall, very friendly accommodating staff throughout. Attention to detail, generous and well above-norm luxury guest amenities and gestures. Great array of facilities for children - exceeds many larger luxury hotels'. Generous sized spa & pools. Very good dining options with variety of culinary styles and skills (perhaps lacking the simple casual comfort food array a bit). Unbeatable location if you want to be in the heart of the village and still be ski-in ski-out. Ski Room (set-up and service) is one of the best if not the best anywhere in the Alps.

From working whole seasons in France and Switzerland Val D’isere definitely provides. The valley traps snow meaning it’s snow sure. The espace Killy has a great ski area for all levels although the ski area doesn’t offer a lot of ski in ski out and the only way from Tignes is either le face or le daille. The town is nice, always busy and a great selection of cuisine and bars.

I recommend 'Underground' 'Cocorico' and 'Doudoune club' for after-ski fun.

Very good resort with excellent choice of ski runs and plenty of lifts. Resort bus service is great. Long transfer from Geneva (3 hours drive) but worth it. Great choice of restaurants of very good quality, but eating out can be expensive.

Great location and epic view out over some of the runs at La Daille from our balcony. Apartment was cosy and comfortable, kitchen had all the cooking utensils and plates etc you'd need. Checking in was tricky as there is no reception but it got sorted pretty quickly. There is no common drying room for ski gear, so hang your ski clothing on the hooks in the apartment to dry. Handy supermarket located nearby and the shuttle bus is easy walking distance to take you to Val d'Isere. We stayed in the winter so the pool wasn't operating, but overall a delightful winter ski base.

bad situation as to reach it by car or train it s a nightmare . the roads are plenty of holes and the travel is too long. Also we have been in a restaurant fondue factory ski gallery : food awful and even not able to cook good pasta as i have been told it was a spaniard to cook italian meals !!!! the pasta was burnt and not al dente. The boss of the restaurant was very friendly and commercial and made some discounts after we told him what was going on.

Val Disére is the best place I have ever been for skiing!
Val Disére is the best place I have ever been for skiing! The system is amazing, so big and with so much opportunies! We were so lucky with the weather and that was also making it even more amazing. I highly recommend Val Disére!
The Avancher is a great hotel - the rooms are spacious, modern, very clean and the beds were great! The breakfast is fantastic and the spa is superb - everything you need to start and end a good day of skiing :-)
Do note that it's located a few hundred meters from the village center, but it's not really a problem. There's a bus going every few minutes up and down the main street, with a stop some 150m from the hotel. It will get you to any of the lifts, and when not carrying your skis, it's a nice stroll to the village center.
The only thing that was good was the location. This property was NOT as advertised. Upon entering the room, you get a terrible stench of bleach, the carpet and floor was dirty and had animal hair on it. We looked at the couch and pull out bed and the blankets were disgusting, and maybe 20 years old. There was no chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view. The shower could not get hot. Overall terrible hotel room and not as advertised. The only thing that was good was the location
We absolutely loved the spa and both my partner and I had the best massages of our lives there. The breakfast was healthy and with lots of variety, and the property in general was beautiful. The best was the service though. Absolutely everything was taken care of for us! Super easy to rent skis as the shop is literally next door, and when you come down from the slopes you’re straight onto the hotel. Definitely the best located hotel in Val D’Isere.
Amazing, cosy hotel, close by to the center of the town. Breakfast was great, everyday the same, but with a big choice of dishes. Room was very comfy and clean, spa area with sauna and jacuzzi and is very nice with cool view for the mountains and slopes.
Restaurant in the hotel is amazing for the dinner, better to book in advance to be sure, as half of Val d'Isere is coming there to eat.
We loved everything. There was absolutely nothing to fault and the staff were lovely. In fact the hotel was such a gem, we had to force ourselves to leave and go ski! We particularly loved the shuttle service and the ski hire service downstairs, but everything the hotel had to offer, including the restaurant, was top notch. Our only mistake was not booking longer!
A very nice boutique hotel, in a great location - not the very center of Val d'Isere, so very silent at night - but the free bus shuttles to the center are very frequent and convenient.
Breakfast was nice, accentuating French foods like cheeses, with very nice view on the La Daille low gondola stop and early skiers going out.
+ Excellent service in the hotel, comparable to 5 star level; very helpful, polite and friendly staff at the reception and at the restaurant
+ Very convenient location - 5 minute walk to the main ski lift in Val D'Isere, bakery / pharmacy downstairs
+ Good breakfast
+ Small but nice spa
Amazing ski in-out location in the hotspot of entire resort and very forthcoming staff lead by Nicolas, the owner who is always around to accommodate any requests. The room was superb and overall atmosphere is very cozy and warm. Proper ski hotel.
Great location, clean modern interior with a heated boot room. Short walk from the lifts. Complimentary coffee / tea for residents at hotel. Restaurant was convenient but Italian menu a little limited, good French food may have been nicer
Very good but disappointed that the choice of jam was distinctly dull... and lacked imagination for a luxury hotel in the Alps.
Strawberry and rasberry!! Why not local fruits and home made jams.
Cheese was not that fresh ..
The breakfast was everything I needed and the choice was excellent. The location is very central for all amenities and for skiing. The room and bed were very comfortable and the hotel staff were helpful and accommodating.
Good location in the centre of the town. Family run hotel, relaxed feel, welcoming and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and good coffee. Our dog was welcomed too and had a great time!
Breakfast was nice although pretty simple. The hotel (Hotel Altitude) and staff were first class top shelf the whole time and I would strongly recommend that hotel to anyone staying in Val d'Isere.
Very helpfull and nice staff. Walking distance from multiple lifts, grocery store and some restaurants. I will definitely consider staying in this hotel if I go to Val D'isere.
Lovely hotel, great rooms, perfect location and very friendly and helpful staff. A good choice of foods for breakfast and the ski store room and service was very handy!
