The Hosts were wonderful and very happy to talk with us and answer questions about Wales and the area. They were super accommodating. The room was perfect for a couple and one child/teen. It was very cozy but with plenty of room. Also, the location was close to the places we wanted to see as well as in a quiet neighborhood that wasn't congested. Easy close parking was at the door, and they had a charging station for our electric car.

A really nice pub. Our room was a good size, immaculately clean, good wifi, tea and coffee, tv, bathroom and plenty of parking on site. Great selection of beers, large beer garden, even facilities for camping with a lovely shower block. Dinner was reasonably priced and very tasty. Local chicken pie with mash and a lovely seafood linguine. Being something of a connoisseur of cooked breakfasts, call it English, Irish or even Welsh, the one here was definitely one of the best I have ever had. Freshly cooked with fresh produce, and more than you could eat if you tick all the options. A very comfortable stay

We unfortunately stay at the pentre riding stables which are not fit to stay in, when we walked in we started to find somewhere else to stay and understand why you don't get a refund because no one would pay to stay here. I walked over the road to the CRAIG-Y- NOS CASTLE. Which is an absolutely beautiful building and the staff are fantastic, unfortunately the had a wedding on so everything was booked. There is one particular young lady who works there, who's birthday was on Saturday May 14. She was absolutely fantastic and so helpful, she does the castle proud unfortunately I don't know her name

Was a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside or partake in horse riding with the adjoining stables. Not a huge amount to do if you are looking for nightlife ect. Ideal country retreat with the Brecon Beacons on your doorstep.

Abercraf is a great little village and a lovely base for exploring the Brecon beacons, whether on foot, by public transport or by Motorbike / Car. There are some very scenic roads nearby. We used it as a base for our motorbike holiday that included the Triumph Adventure Experience that is based in the nearby town of Ystradgynlais.

Places to visit and walk, the caves ( Dan-yr-Ogof) are a must, you could easily spend a full day there and the country walks were enjoyable. we found a lovely little pub that did delicious food called The Gwyn Arms that I highly recommend. The place is easy to find and provided parking for the car.

Staff very welcoming but the accommodation, although clean, is very basic with a DIY breakfast. Noise from barking dogs in the kennels mean you can't open the windows, which makes the room very hot at night. Mattresses are low quality and you can feel the springs. £100 for one night for a family of 4 with a DIY breakfast isn't value for money in my book. But I did make poached eggs in the microwave! But they weren't runny though ☹️. Ate at the Gwn Inn up the road, beware, last orders for food is 6.45pm! Basic pub food, was ok, but all meals around £14 mark.

The atmosphere is quite pleasant. The room was clean and warm. There is heating even in summer. The place looks more like a camp for children than a guesthouse or hotel. Not a bad option to spend one night. There is also a kettle and tea in the room. There is always boiling water in the kitchen. There is also a microwave and a toaster.

The nurses block annex was useful in our situation as we only needed basic accomodation (base for walking). Lounge and kitchen would be useful with large groups and would consider again if that were the case. However, didn't get the chance to experience the rest of the hotel!

Fabulous property, generous hosts who left a welcome hamper which was filled with luxury items as well as necessary ones and which was a lovely surprise. Felt like a boutique hotel but with home comforts and better still we could take our dog.
