Fairbourne itself did not have a lot in terms of entertainment but it is close to lots of places that are worth a visit. However, the miniature railway is really good and takes you to Barmouth Station where you can then get a ferry to the harbour. This was more than I expected - beautiful location round the corner from a gorgeous beach - perfect for my little dog who came. Local ferry to Barmouth, available summer months, footbridge across river - pay the troll - otherwise longish drive.
