Breakfast was amazing, we tried Scottish breakfast and we loved it.
Staff were nice and polite, Boshra was lovely and quite helpful.

We stayed in the Strathaven as a stop-off between the Scottish Highlands and Yorkshire on a very cold snowy night. The hotel was busy with a Christmas function and other diners but the welcome was attentive and very friendly. The room was warm and welcoming and a very good standard for staying with our dog. We had room service which was lovely and a great early breakfast. The staff were really chatty and helpful. A very good choice.ClaireSpain - 8.0Scored 8.0

Certainly a worth while place to stay. However, the impersonal approach I felt was rather unwelcome for a B&B. If you wish to present yourself as a B&B, it is my assumption there is a personal approach and personal touch to it. Not in this case. Great value, lovely food, not pretentious. Well cooked. I could have done with a bit more toast with the liver parfait, but actually it was probably enough! Service was particularly worth an accolade. Very friendly.

Taal Restaurant.
Taal Restaurant. We ate there two nights and the food was superb. A pleasant area to walk around. Exploring Strathaven further it’s a much pleasanter and interesting place than on arrival. Next visit we will explore a little further.

The B&B is very clean and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are ample and of excellent quality. This is a very nice location in the countryside but within easy reach of cities and just off the M74. Nearby Strathaven has a few eateries, including the "Taal" Indian restaurant which we would recommend.
