It could almost be thought of as the poor relation of the Cotswolds, but only compared to the more glamorous neighbours, Bourton on the Water and Broadway, but it is a very good centre for touring the area and has easy free parking, good shops and good restaurants.

A Beautiful Traditional English Town.
A Beautiful Traditional English Town. The building and architecture are full of history, the shops in the town are filled with art/antiques, plenty of restaurants, cafes, charity shops, local craft and gifts too, so there’s plenty to explore and do.

Moreton in Marsh was quintessentially English and very aesthetic. Full of pleasant eateries and antique shops. People were polite and said hello as you passed in the street. Extremely close to other places of interest and quaint villages that you could either wander around or make a brisk walk from.

Great little town in the Cotswolds with lots of intersting places to go to surrounding it. The town itself doesn't have a particularly busy high streeet but Stow on the Wold is only a few minutes drive away and has some lovely shops to mooch around. Lots of lovely walks in the area and some great hotels to be based in.

We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch.
We visited the Batsford Arboretum for lunch. It was raining, so we didn't walk through the Arboretum. There weren't as many shops as I was expecting for the size of the town, but it's not far to Stow-On-The-Wold

This was a great base for exploring the region. Easy access to the train from London and then from there I could take different buses to explore, hire a guide or if I had a car I could have explored that way.

Charming hotel, walking distance to a train station. Its a good 10 minute plus walk. The accessibility to a train station is essential without a car, as there are no taxes, and very few busses anywhere! This could be a problem in the rain or with very large suitcases.
Very clean and nice breakfast.
People with mobility issues may have a problem with the narrow corridors. There is an elevator to some rooms, and only on the first floor. Ask for one of those rooms in advance.
Bottled water and soda were replaced daily,
much appreciated.
Moreton Cottage is a little gem. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, a charming authentic cotswolds cottage located 50 yards from the town centre. Close enough to walk to local restaurants, but nice and quiet as not on the high street. The cottage is well equipped, couldn't think of anything that is not provided for. It's is a great location for exploring other villages in the Cotswolds, has a local train station and plenty of places to park.
Location is good for Moreton and other local towns within the Cotswolds, a short, less than 5 minute drive, or 20 minute walk to Moreton-in-Marsh. The rooms are fairly basic, (think Travelodge/older Premier Inns) but clean, comfortable and have everything you'd need for a few days away. excellent price for the location. There are quite a few facilities on site including a gym and pool, but we didn't use any of these, but may do next time.
This was such an adorable cottage! Everything was very nice and the beds were so comfortable. The cottage is just around the corner from
High Street which has restaurants and shops. The owners really put lots of attention to detail into everything, such as providing complimentary coffee, tea and milk! We had a car rental and this location was very easy for us to drive out to see other villages each day.
The room was a really nice size and my friends and I didn't feel cramped at all. The shower was large and the bathroom was a great size, especially for Europe. The breakfast was wonderful and we looked forward to it each day and the man who served it to us was lovely. The location was amazing and everything was only a short walk from our hotel.
Location is ideal. it is near the train station and located along High Street but the room is quiet.
Tim received me at the hotel before the official checkin time and allowed me to checkin.
He also responded to all my queries very fast, before and during my stay.
The accommodation has strong wifi and tv has Netflix too.
The flat was very clean, comfy, and beautifully decorated with nice touches like Netflix and Nespresso pods - excellent location right in the centre of Moreton in Marsh with a variety of walks from the doorstep and a good choice of lovely places to eat. The host was communicative and helpful. The bed was so comfy!
This was a return visit, because we found the hotel so relaxed and comfortable when we stayed during the summer. Again, all good, including the evening meals, breakfast and the comfort of the room.
Parking is straightforward, and Moreton in Marsh great for a Cotswold visit. Much recommended!
Very central location, amazing choice of breakfast included. I was travelling by train and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the station and centrally located in Moreton in Marsh. Having a friendly pub/restaurant on site was an added bonus, especially for a solo traveller.
The staff was very friendly and made sure we had all information and a comfortable stay. The room was perfect, great decoration and much bigger than in most hotels. In-room breakfast was great. Bed was very comfortable.
The apartment was beautiful and spacious in the middle of Moreton in Marsh. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and there was a lovely array of breakfast items and an assortment of teas, coffees and biscuits.
Loved that if was a genuine old hotel that hadn't been changed significantly.
Loved the small sitting areas all with open fires.
Enjoyed breakfast in the orangery...lovely and bright.
