The Wylfa, hotel in Rhiw

The Wylfa offers accommodations in Abersoch, a 10-minute walk from Abersoch Beach and 23 miles from Portmeirion.

No food, accommodation only. Very clean and comfortable. Room was private, overlooking the sea. Maid service on request only was a very good idea - didn't get the feeling the room had to be vacated promptly every morning. Except on departure, of course. Plenty of tea and coffee available.

Rooms at Martha Jones, hotel in Rhiw

Rooms at Martha Jones is are set in the heart of Pwllheli. Guests can make use of the free unlimited BT infinity Wi-Fi.

Location was fine, breakfast was a cold tray in your room the day before so nothing fancy but OK. Room and bathroom where a resonable size and very clean but the bath towels could do with being larger. Put off by ear plugs but it appears that was a left over from a noisy take away opposite that no longer exists so no problem for us ( Out of Season)

Beautiful countryside very quiet and relaxing. Rhiw is within easy reach of lovely beaches within a couple of miles on quiet country roads. We loved Abersoch and Aberdarren but there are many others in easy reach. Beautiful part of world.

The local National Trust property is the highlight of this rural location and well worth the visit. The local guides had so much to share. If you like the poetry of RS Thomas, pack it, re-read it and soak it in whilst you're there. The sunsets are spectacular and there is a real restfulness about this place. Wild ponies were on the moorland cliffs. Deli in Abersoch sold great food. The Spar in Pwhlleli is amazing - you can stock up there before you get to the property.

The cottage was cosy and warm with a log burner. The view from the lounge window was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. If you are looking to get away from it all this is the place for you. Location was just perfect for walking the dog and getting out and about exploring. Perfect stay.

Peaceful little hamlet with views of the sea on all sides; fantastic sunsets; nice walks from the door. Easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit on the Lleyn Peninsula though the roads are v narrow in places. Had to drive to pubs and shops.

Rhiw has so much to offer - easy access to beaches (Porth Oer, Porth Colman and Porth Ysgo), Myndd Rhiw to climb up, beautiful gardens at Plas yn Rhiw. We also enjoyed visiting Canolfan Felin Uchaf Centre and stayed there for an excellent evening of story-telling. Will certainly return.
