We went for the racing but it was way too busy at the course...
We went for the racing but it was way too busy at the course, still a good day! The town has a lot of nice bars, cafes and restaurants and a good High Street with the usual M&S Next Boots Primark etc We also enjoyed listening to live music a couple of times outside the old Debenhams at lunchtime. Tabla and Cardo were both good places to eat. Didn't do anything cultural although a lot of the buildings were architecturally notable. Perth is a superb city for a weekend break.
Perth is a superb city for a weekend break. Our weekend lots going on at same time. Huge farmers market and Perth show at South inch park. At North inch park their was a fitness weekend organised by the Black Watch regiment . Lots happening for kids of all ages .Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We were only in Perth for a very short time however we walked along the River Tay and through a lovely park and engaged in a little retail therapy and in the evening enjoyed a nice meal and cocktails. It was in a good central situation. The room was a good size, with the usual facilities and plenty of space for clothes and luggage. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was also a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is, apparently, the oldest established hotel in Scotland - goes back to 1699 - and can claim Bonnie Prince Charlie as a guest in 1745. Outside seating plenty chairs especially when my sister, brother-in-law and friend from San Francisco visited for the day. Situated a short walk from Dunning which had a wee shop a marvelous Tee Room at the Golf Club and two hotels for food.
