Very much worth the tour. A beautiful place.

Very much worth the tour. A beautiful place. Anyone wanting to know and understand the history of this country needs to go to as many, perhaps all, the palaces, castles, cathedrals as possible. As an American, I marvel at the work of the people, the love of the country and its desire to protect its land and government. It is a good representation and history of all aspects of Scotland's history.

Go early in the morning to get the best views. Avoid the large tour groups especially the Russians! Their guides are loud and rude. The staff at the Palace on the other hand are obliging, informatand friendly.

A £7.50 fee (each) for ground charges just to get in the gate that takes you to the proper castle entry fee is abusing tourist. So much so, that I refused to go through the gate to see a castle I was looking forward to. I hope more people sacrifice their interest/curiosity and save you the disappointment and unhelpful old woman staff who think it's their castle and we should be grateful to pay fortunes to view our heritage. I have money but refused on principal.

The room was nice and big. The hotel is close to a lovely neighbourhood and hiking trail to Kinnoull Hill (stunning views). It is also close to the city Center, botanical gardens and scone palace. It is well centred.

It was a peaceful and quiet Property. It was a easy walk to downtown, 45 min walk to Scone Palace, and the owner told me of a local path to get an incredible view of the city. She was a wonderful host! Warm and welcoming

We chose a continental breakfast & when we entered the dining room our table was beautifully set up with fresh fruit, plunger coffee etc. And Sam was the perfect host, even taking us to Scone Palace in her own car. The bed was super comfortable and little touches like pretty crockery & chocolates were appreciated. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and offered a good range. Since it is on a main road, the parking space was appreciated and we used the passing buses to go into Perth city centre. This hotel is very handy for Scone Palace. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming. I would highlight the cleanliness of this hotel.

Of all the places we stayed during our 3 week tour of the UK this was far and away the best. It exudes sophistication and class, and a genuine concern for the comfort of its guests. I only wish we had planned to stay longer. That it happens to be close to the legendary and iconic Scone Palace (and hints of Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ is a pleasant bonus. The dining is impeccable. This is not just a place to stay en route: it is a destination.

This was a darling cottage! We stayed there with 4 adults and 2 children. We found the accommodations to be very welcoming and comfortable. We appreciated the helpful book on TV workings as well as the listings of nearby restaurants. The cottage garden is a delightful spot. The village is easy to walk about and there is a convenience store that is open later than the grocery. We visited Scone Palace while we stayed there.
