My single room was clean, pleasant and comfortable. Bar food and breakfast were both very good. Staff were courteous, helpful and attentive.
The Royal Hotel is a charming Georgian building with its own extensive lawns that extend to Weston-super-Mare’s Promenade. It offers sea views, rooms with free Wi-Fi and a fine restaurant.

The staff we met were very lovely and the views from the terrace was lovely. Also great location near places to eat and have a drink. Also right on the beach and near lots of shops. The rooms were nice and clean and liked the decor too would definitely recommend and also return .
Featuring a bar, Guest House @ The Bear is located in Weston-super-Mare in the North Somerset region, 1.1 miles from Weston-Super-Mare Beach and 22 miles from Ashton Court.

I don't like anything that I saw there, first of all I was asked to wait for 30mins for the reception to get me booked in. My Experience in Guest house @ the Bear was bad. The reception was a man who was smelling of Alcohol, he declined to even give me a room maybe because am black. I was badly treated and I will not advice anybody to go there. It's very very bad place to be.
With an indoor pool and sauna, this hotel has a locally acclaimed restaurant and overlooks a golf course and sand dunes, just 984 feet from the sandy beach and promenade.

Breakfast was lovely. Different from the standard greasy fry up.

Whilst we didn't spend a large amount of time in Loxton (it was too wet for long walks) it was very easy to get to Cheddar, Weston Super Mare and other local towns. The Webbington Hotel's gym, pool and spa is recommended. Take a trip to Cheddar for the caves, walks a quaint shops as well as the pubs and restaurants

Average and my room was decent. Others were not. Mine had recently been refurbished with new carpets and wallpaper but the rest of the hotel was in need of some major TLC. Horrible old dusty carpets throughout, tiny rooms in the other building with no light and generally old and worn. Definitely wouldn’t pay £120 a night to stay here again. I would say more about the 60-80 mark is more suitable.

The location of the hotel benefits from being high up with far reaching views over Somerset countryside. However, although the hotel is warm, homely and quiet inside, the nearby M5 motorway is really noisy - so sitting on the terrace outside the bar is not as pleasant as you might think.
There's plenty of parking though, and the staff were superb.

Good hotel with lots of parking, the staff were lovely & helpful whenever we had a query, breakfast was nice with various choices, nice pool but the changing room was small for both men & women. Good location, a bit off the beaten track but that's its charm with cracking views. The hotel is a bit dated but I'm sure this is in the process of being sorted in the future.I was clean & tidy & our double room was a decent size with en suite.

A hidden gem in Somerset.
A hidden gem in Somerset. About an hour’s walk from the quaint medieval town of Axbridge and short drive from Cheddar and Clevedon. You have to be a walker and countryside person to enjoy this place!
The Hotel staff were great .Helpful in every way . We asked for a room change for a view .No problem ! .We asked for an extra Duvet , No problem . We asked for extra coffee and milk for our room , No problem . The Leisure facility staff were great as well . All in all a very relaxing break .
The staff were very accommodating in the hotel, and in the dining hall. Polite and sensitive to needs.
The lady in charge of the pool was a little presumptuous to our own knowledge of the facilities. The spa treatment staff were excellent in their knowledge and understanding of our needs.
The spa facilities were exceptional. Especially the steam room which was one of the best I've ever been in. The hotel staff couldn't do enough. They were friendly and courteous and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Our bathroom was very modern and looked brand new
The hotel has great ambience; very welcoming. The staff were non intrusive but helpful when needed. Good pool. Great location and views (and apparently good walking directly from the hotel if the weather is in your favour; it wasn't for us). Quiet room in courtyard.
Really good location, step outside and you can walk straight to crooks keep
Our room was big, clean and comfy.
Staff were brilliant, we stayed for our wedding anniversary & there was a card in our room on arrival.
Good variety of breakfast options.
The location of the hotel was beautiful and the views were amazing. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was a great value for money and very tasty and fresh ! Beds were comfy too which was definitely needed after walking cheddar.
The staff, especially those working in the restaurant, were really helpful and attentive. The location of the hotel was really great for our early start to Bristol. It was also very clean.
Staff very pleasant, polite, friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet, clean, grand and in a great location - easy to reach, yet rural and quiet. Very comfy, rooms spacious and clean.
