This was our first time in Dawlish the property we stayed in was 100% but we didn't realise just how much walking was involved, all on the level but my husband cannot walk very far so unless you have access to a mobility scooter would not advise

There are several restaurants in the area and walking in Dawlish was a joy. The black swans and all the numerous other birds were lovely to see. The train station is accessible and allows easy transport up and down the coast. We will be back soon.

Most facilities you'd expect of a small town, with plenty of streets to explore. The beach and town are close together and there are several safe places to cross into the park area which is well tended and attracts children especially because of the wildfowl. We found a several pubs without trying too hard- they are used to tourists, though by no means plasticy artificial places: we met the locals and enjoyed the experience, The Marine Tavern, next to our B+B was mostly uncrowded and very welcoming. Superb train services to get to other towns and villages, and the coast is well served by buses.

I loved everything except our property the actual park was brilliant and you could never be bored there everything you could wish for just be mindful the properties are not all you think they are until you get inside we must have been one of the unlucky ones entirely of pubs and restaurants and cafes to eat the food is beautiful

I really cannot fault this hotel, everything was perfect - lovely spacious rooms, great in-room facilities including a fridge and microwave, beautiful sea views (thank you for the upgrade!), everything spotlessly clean in the room and communal areas, staff really friendly and helpful, fuss free check-in and check-out and the breakfast was without doubt the best I’ve ever had in any hotel. I am now trying to find a reason to return to Dawlish so I can stay there again.

Rob and Fiona are wonderful hosts. Very welcoming. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk, water etc and the home made cookies were a lovely touch. Great variety at breakfast, nothing is too much trouble. The sea view from our balcony was fantastic. Excellent location to Dawlish Town down the hill. Would definitely recommend this lovely accommodation in a beautiful house. Thank you Rob and Fiona.

The location was outstanding, views were amazing and Dawlish town centre and train station were both a short walk away. There was plenty to do - walk along the sea wall in to Dawlish Warren was lovely and the train made other nearby resorts accessible. Beaches were clean and dog friendly. A visit to Powderham Castle is recommended. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed - a home from home.

This is our third stay at The Warren Retreat and we highly recommend it. The owners are great and communication is excellent. The location of the caravan is fantastic with only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Love that parking is secure right next to the caravan with plenty of space. The caravan has all the essentials you need and it is clean and tidy.

The breakfast was very good with fruit, yogurt, cereals, nuts & seeds and a very good cooked selection as well. Our room had a wonderful view looking over Dawlish to the sea. The room also had extra little treats like cookies. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area.

Clean comfortable caravan, good for an inexpensive short break. We found the part of the site we were in quiet and it was great to be able to leave the car and walk into Dawlish Warren and get to the beach. The park is very well located. We really liked Dawlish Warren itself.

The apartment was in an ideal location for walking into Dawlish Warren and Dawlish itself. Also, a 5-minute walk through a cut to the sea wall over the railway bridge. Also, there's a bus stop, right outside the property.
